If i was to pick for you i would greedily pick the barneys blue cheese because i have one of those on the way right now and id love to see how it turns out :lol: i tried it from a dispensary here and the smell was seriously the dankest most awful smell ive ever smelled from a jar. It was so awful it was beautiful. I had to have it immediately and it was really good meds too. Not sure on yield though.. Have you seen any people doing cherry bomb? Its pretty cheap and every bank is selling them, ive even thought of trying it once i get through the pile of strains i have to get through ;) supposedly its pretty good.

I have Midweek Song, Bonza Seeds, and most likely Smoke cartel on board so far. They're not asking for anything but a mention of them in the contest thread. I am being very professional and relating to these companies that I am NOT affiliated with RIU other than being a member, they all seem quite excited to be involved... I want this contest to be exactly to your specifications and something that the community loves more everytime.
I'm sure that a few certain members may have issue with a community run contest, and I don't want you to be in that boat. I want everything to go down without a hitch, and to be in complete line with RIU rules and admins. I don't want anyone to think that I'm acting surreptitiously, or sneakily by hosting this or setting up something for the standout growers here! I want everyone to know that this is not a popularity contest, EVERYONE has an equal shot, except those with crappy genetics!
If we can do anything to make this smoother than a baby's ass for you guys, let us know please! We would like to be able to call in an admin if need be; sometimes its just easier to have an authority on site that can remove problems! Also, to have that assurance that I am doing what you would do, or what you would want me to do will greatly help..

I dont care what you do, as long as you follow the website rules.
And I dont mean that rudely or in a snide way, I just mean I literally don't care as long as it follows the website rules.
I want users to have a fun community to enjoy, if they follow rules than its fun for all :)

Thank you for making it clear you are a community member and not affiliated with rollitup as an employee or moderator that was probably one of my big concerns about it all for the last several years.

I have made it VERY clear since the first phone call I made setting up #6 that I was only a member!

I think as well that I would like to include a liability release that has to be agreed to by each member that releases RIU and its affiliates from any and all legal liabilities that may or may not exist or stem from this contest. Also would like a brief statement about how no prizes are guaranteed by anyone to be given out, and that its at the company providing its discretion whether or not to give it out. Also that the only personal information that should be traded via RIU is a secondary email address...
All items offered come directly from the company offering it, and if another member asks for your private information that you're not comfortable giving out, DON'T DO IT!
Is there anything else that I need to work on?
I don't mind being public about my actions or requests, I'll leave the reporting to other members!
Also, do you have a direct link to "the forum rules"?

Id say go with the randoms then. Screw those if they werent any good. I just picked up the last part of my setup. If i dont pecker it up putting it together i think im ready to go just waiting on beans in the post, if they dont show in time ill be running grape kush which would be fine. I wanna start so bad, i dont wait well :lol:

hmm the forum rules are kinda spread out all over the place really.
Mostly in the support area, people will ask we'll answer.

This is what we have, its all very vague and basic ill be honest, we need to do an update on our rules to have them all in One place, that has been requested several times (we just havent gotten around to it)

Mostly our forum rules are your typical common sense things and a lot of them are not listed somewhere
no nudity
no selling/trading/hookups
no porn
dont post peoples full names, addresses, phone numbers, social media accounts etc.
Dont name calling, argue excessively , troll people, be mean, take shots below the belt kinda deal.
Ya know be basically respectful .
im sure im forgetting some.

It wasn't a fault of genetics. They were strong, I just didn't feed them. I got busy with a big project and just kept topping off the rez with RO water, rather than mixing up more nutes. Time kinda got away from me and before I knew it the boy was in full blossom :P

One of them had wonderful colors and they all smelled amazing. I think I'll pop those in another tent and give it a thread all it's own. Do a bit of pheno hunting. I'm sure there will be a few winners in the jar. What little smokable bud I got was extraordinarily smooth considering it was essentially shake dried on the counter over night. I can only imagine what it would be like done properly.

Probably going to be running CXB3590's this round, I'm trying to decide between running mini DWC in plastic cups or peatmoss and blumats in glass cups.... Tough call, the blumat jr's worked nicely even with severe neglect. :P

I've run the Blue Cheese before, and it is just amazingly delicious. I'm burning some now. I have found a few grow journals on the Cherry Bomb, people seem pretty impressed by it, and it looks nice to me too. Thanks for your input!

As a big talking new contender i expect to see myself in the 9th cup cup trying to be in that 25% but im sure ill fall face first into the lower 75 of non finnishers and have to walk on egg shells in upcoming cup cups. Realistically all you guys are probably in big trouble because ive never failed at anything....ever. Be afraid, very afraid. image.png

I'm really digging the cheese candy, maybe the best freebies I've ever grown.. One is sativa dom and huge stretch n kinda finicky.. The indica Dom is gorgeous and will be growing it for awhile.. Both are large plants, the Afghani freebies are garbage, one of the worst strains I've ever grown..it would probably do good in a solo cup..extremely light feeder and you won't want clones from them.
