Weed Is Life

Alright, so last night on my first night shift with my dads company, he introduces me to the person ill be working with. Shes jammin, we had a smoke together talked, weed came up, and we smoked a joint. And she told me about the prescription pills she has, for her back pain. THC pills, she gets them so she doesnt have to smoke joints while at work. She just takes the pills and yeah. Does her thing. So she gives me 3. I popped one during that shift, i was already stoned from smoking the joint, but it just felt like i was stoned. Nothing extravagent.

This morning i took 2, and i feel pretty stoned but i also smoked aswell. What is wrong? Aren;t these supposed to be very powerful? I get higher from taking a bong rip then i do from these things.

What is the problem?

yeah, they're missing cannabidol and other cannabinoids usually found in marijuana so you wont get really stoned like you will if you cook weed.

they're synthetic THC pills...

Lester Grinspoon, MD, Professor of Psychiatry at the Harvard Medical School, stated in the 2001 issue of the International Journal of Drug Policy:
"I have yet to examine a patient who has used both smoked marijuana and Marinol who finds the latter more useful; the most common reason for using Marinol is the illegality of marijuana, and many patients choose to ignore the law when they believe that the difference between the two puts their health, comfort or economic well-being at risk.

If patients were legally allowed to use marijuana, relatively few would choose Marinol."

Andrew Weil, MD, Director of Integrative Medicine at University of Arizona's College of Medicine, stated in a June 6, 2002 article published in the San Francisco Chronicle:
"Unfortunately, the only legal substitute [to marijuana] available now -- a prescription pill containing synthetic THC, marijuana's main psychoactive component -- is not EFFECTIVE enough for many patients. I hear regularly from patients that the pill does not work as well as the natural herb, and causes much greater intoxication."

You'll probably just want to stick to the herb. I know I would. Who are you going to trust? Nature or pharmaceutical companies?
