thc not showing after drying buds from harvest

When I chopped my plants down after harvest I seen tons of thc on the buds. As soon as a few days of drying went by I no longer see thc on the buds. Is this normal or did something go wrong. The buds are kept in a dark area, cool, fan, and plenty of ventilation. I do understand that my bud will look different from the time I chop it down until cure because of the water loss of 75%. But the trichomes disappearing I'm not sure. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Maybe I should of formed the question a different way lol.
You could....but if you like to laugh and don't mind a few smart asses such as myself coming around....leave it the way it is....you'll still get your answer either way....one way will just be more entertaining and take longer....The entertainment part may be slightly at your expense though...... I wish I could help, but I've never had that happen or heard of it.....unless you have roommates that tumbled your shit while you were out ...lol......otherwise sorry I couldn't help.

But my new favorite line is: I seen the THC lol...

I'm laughing with you, not at you

Good luck

all four of my fans blow directly on all of my plants 24 hours a day, they sparkle with thc from about day 30 to finish all the way to the pipe.
over fed, fermented, underfed, ph whacked, over heated, no c02, these will cause ill thc expressions

Back on topic, it's important to remember that there are three different types of trichomes. The largest (the ones you see the most) are multi-cellular capitate stalked trichomes. (Say that 5 times fast.)

They are made up mostly of water. As you dry and cure the plant, the water evaporates and shrinks those trichomes down to a fraction of their normal size.

Different strains of marijuana have different sizes of trichome, which result in different "looks" after the curing process. For instance, some strains produce trichomes that average around 175 micrometers in length. There are strains out there though where they can reach averages of 550 micrometers (roughly 3 times larger).

They are still there, believe it or not. It's just that they were of the smaller variety to begin with and as such the "shell" of the trichome after the water evaporates is much, much smaller. If you put it under a 20 power loop, you should still be able to see them.
