Hey guys, I hope this finds you all well.

Hey guys I know you all hate youtube with every fiber of your body. If you have 10 minutes to watch this video, I'd like to know what you guys think about it.
Basically is a weekly review of the THC content, on this specific plant, done with the aid of a laboratory. (I think the video doesn't mention the lab's name or anything)
Telling us that week 6,7 THC content is increasing.
week 8 is where the THC content peaks.
week 9-10 the plant has a lower THC content than on week 8, but the buds are bigger and denser than on week 8.
The drop of THC he mentions isn't that big, he says its 4% less on week 9, and 9% less on week 10.
The THC peak content of the plant was 16% on week 8, that would give us a 15.36% on week 9 and a 14.56 on week 10. He then mentions that the more you wait you have less THC, but in return you will have a bigger and denser buds.

Im interested on what you guys think about the video. Is it bullshit? Or maybe it's common knowledge.
For the record I plan to harvest as I was advised, by waiting untill all pistils are red and hace receded into the bud, when the buds look swollen, then I'll take a look at the trichomes.

Once you grow a strian out you get a better idea of harvest window. Ill take 10 over 8 week anyday.

lll take the loss for mature bud, have harvested when trics all opaque, highest of highs racy and long lived, good daytime smoke kept me high around clock with one joint. But like the couchlock effect more, allows me to unwind. Guess its all a matter of preferance. But cbd cbn and all the letters come out in mature bud. Its not all about thc count, most thc counts are bs. 27% but doesnt get you high like youd expect? Does it?

At those small percentage differences the total profile has to matter way more. I’ve tried concentrates that are 45% thc but had a very subtle high because the rest was cbd and some sedating terpenes

Even if it was just thc I doubt anybody could tell which was 16 or 14 percent.

l coulnt agree more, thats why mature weed is just better. When l harvest l know it wont taste like lawn clippings. Harvest early no idea of finished product. Plus l like sedating effect. Dont get that from 65 day anything.

I guess the guy in the video didn't ask the lab for that kind of stuff. I agree if the total profile gets better, smell, taste, etc. That might be more impactful than just a number in THC. I love to smoke Blue Dream when I get the chance,it doesn't get me as high as other strains, but the taste and smell is superb xd.

I don’t even worry with thc. I block it on my lab test until they’re happy. I teach ppl the value of terpenes and how that’s the driving force they should pay attention to.

So as the Trichomes mature as we all know we wait for milky. However we also wait for some amber.

Now when the trichomes go from milky to amber the chemical compound changes as well.

Amber trichomes are CBN. Hence when the trichome over matures so to speak it converts from THC to CBN effectively lowering the THC content of said bud.

On a side note I have yet to grow a plant that is done in 8 weeks of flower. Not a fan of early harvesting at all.

Some of best smoke lve ever had was Blue Dream, would love to find good genetics of that strain.

The reason the number goes down is becuase

Concentration= Thc/mass.

In the final weeks when the mass increases, the thc stays the same, but the mass increases. So you get more literaly plant material aka flower. But the trics stay the same. The same amount of thc exists there, it’s just more spread out.
Fucken A snidley!

That makes sense, between this and some of the trichomes turning amber, makes sense to have a smaller % of thc like the video suggests.

Really, not only youtube videos, but a lot of pages on the internet mark cloudy trichomes at week 8 as the only sign to look for when harvesting. Misleading stuff for us novices xD. Well I'm glad I asked.

Dr gruber harvest a bubba at different weeks the numbers where different. Its been a long time but think it was on here
He also had undesirable results from feeding until leaf tips show, like we where all told to do back when.
