Plants are coming along nicely, love the healthy green growth. Would be great if you can rotate the plants once a days, hopefully that way both sides get maximum lumen output from the LED, and I found the plants love it if you make sure they are'nt sitting in run off from the coco/soil mix.

Peace to all and happy growing.

Day 33 of Flower:
I'm a little worried that it is taking so long for heavy trich production. If someone could give me a little reassurance or advice that would be great. The one on the left is maturing much faster then the one on the right. I also tied down the flowers so they each get maximum light.

Left plant looks fine for trichs, lotsa resin too just early still. They are either a longer flowering strain or a bit behind. Looks to me about a week behind what I would expect at this date and maybe might need a P boost. Usually if mine start falling behind like this I topdress them with extra supersoil and in a few days they start taking off.... so I would guess from the looks they are getting plenty of N and not enough P, or the ratio of N to P is too high. OR it's just a slower flowering strain/pheno. They definitely look healthy though. I wouldn't worry too much I had one like this that looked about a week behind... it took a week longer to finish than I hoped (70 days) but it yielded almost 4oz. Patience is a virtue.

What kind of fertz do they get?

Hey TMU it's been in my experience that when you LST plants in flowering, you're extending the grow time. It has something to do with certain hormones being released and they, and the process of making them, interfere with normal flowering time and you end up with an extended growing time. Also more stress when doing this seems to add to a longer flowering time too which might be happening on the right. Otherwise they look pretty damn healthy to me. Take Care and Happy Growing.

Never even thought of that... might explain why my tied down plants seemed to take longer and the one i didn't finished right on time.... won't matter next time since i'm going vertical :)

I'd have to say your plants look just about right for how long you have been flowering them.
As mentioned you've been lst'ing them and that is going to extend your grow time a little.
That being said I wouldn't worry about them looking a week or so behind.

Agree with all the above about LST plants taking longer to finish, growth tip hormone is spread through out the plant which causes extra stress and longer growth time, but overall larger yield, if all growth gets sufficient light with the right feeding schedule.

Plants look healthy and right on track, just dont rush them and in the end reward would be worth while.

Peace to all and happy growing.

Nutes with these Blackstars has been a tricky one for me because the highest I have been able to go is 500ppm in bubbleponics. They don't seem to require nearly as much as any other light source and my results are top notch so I know they weren't lacking in any food what so ever. I'm surprised you can go near recomended strength but that just tells me that it must be a hydro thing with led's for me.

It's gotta be hdyro -- in soil for me the level of nutes is only strain dependent... had strains very sensitive and some that could take almost as much as you can throw at them under LED.

Day 37 of Flower:
Still slow going but they look healthy which is good. Watered today with 1300ppm foxfarm nutes with cha ching. My first grow with the Big Bangs where further ahead at this point. Maybe because I was using an additional 250watts of cfl and did not lst. Its summer and temps are about 84f so there is no way I can add cfl to the grow. Additionally iv got the light at about 15" from tops.

They are looking lovely, nice green growth, and they are starting to frost up really good, looks like they have another 30 days or so to go.

Happy growing, peace.

Figured less light restriction and better heat management... you would be surprised to find how much heat is in that area of the light.
