That's it. It's no longer "flushing" for harvest it's now "starving" for harvest.

Welcome back Snackers
Just call me snickers cause I feed ya trolls. Hahaha nah im jokin, I smoked some of my bud and am happy I made it through 3 months and harvest about 3gs hahahahaha. Yeah, I failed, and now I got that out of the way. This next harvest has me hard. Since I tried the bud and it was good with no cure, and a shitty dry, so I know the plants get all wet when I come around. hahaha

Woah woah woah, yeah, I have an attitude, yeah, I'm a man, I have testosterone runnin, I have to much some would say, but does that make me a bad person? Does respecting everyone I ever meet make me a bad person? Is it because I am just overbearing and don't hold things back and that I don't censor myself? Is it because i'm a psycho and I can't control myself? Is it because all I listen to is cypress hill? Is it because I want to kill people and the only thing holding me back is weed, so it's like fighting a fucking demon from coming out of my chest like fucking alien and have it take me over and grab a sawed off shutgun and take those fuckers out one by one, and blame society for all my problems because it was their fault for becomming the fucked up place it is, and then laugh in everyones face for being so stupid that they can only act and talk smart then go and act like complete retards (retards act better than most normal people by the way) ah fuck fuck fuck. shit fuck. fuck. alright, fuck!

I've only posted in the past month man. You're a hypocrite btw. Most likely acute retardation. You fit into society, go out into the concrete wilderness and find your nest youngin!

i've only joined basically in the last month or so. not exactly sure how i'm a hypocrite and as for youngin, thats funny. while i'm no old pro obviously i have been around the block so to speak with out getting into personal info. and as for any personal attacks i am going to concede and apologize as we aren't here to fight and bicker with one another we i assume are here to learn what works best for our situations and to grow the best plants possible. as i've posted in other threads am by no means an expert and am on my first grow but have spent countless months reading and watching vids to prepare myself as best i could and am obviously still learning. i wish you luck on your second try and hope your results are better than your first. goodluck and happy growing

As I mentioned on another thread, ( I hope it wasnt this one ) I flush in the end with icewater. When I was in my first grow, I had read somewhere that icewater shocks the plant into one last push of anything it has left as it realizes its time is up. So I dont suppose I do it for a smoother taste or anything like that. Is this a scientific fact with data out there to prove it? Hell I have no idea. I guess it makes some sense. When you think about it, we are tricking and manipulating the plant all along to suit our needs. Even those big fat beautiful buds that we produce when things go well is really not especially natural. We are depriving the plant in such a way that it has to be thinking "What in the world do I have to do to attract some pollen around here anyway?" as its long pistels are reaching out begging for what it wants.
So, actually I'd really rather not bother with the icewater thing and just chop and hang them AND they would dry a little faster for me if I didnt do that, but the thing is while I dont know if this theory holds any weight, the Mrs and I are almost always more than happy with the results we get in the end so the practice continues.

sannies fan i see. thinkin bout sugar punch myself for a future addition. thats what it's about anyway right? what you r happy with. if growing for personal use anyway. as i have a patient who has ms i will will definitely be taking notes from her as to how the finished product is regardless of what i think. too harsh, may try and flush or may try a different technique for drying or curing. whatever the case maybe the goal is to be happy with what you are toking on. goodluck and happy growing

Yeah Im a big time Sannie fan. Its the only place I use now for genetics. He may not have as many selections as some of these banks do, but most everything I've run has been straight fire. And yeah, the Sugarpunch is outstanding. Takes awhile to finish but its worth the wait. The Mrs says its her favorite so far of them all.

absolutely beautiful.

I wanted to add my last post to this, after doing more research I stumbled upon a method of curing that I did not know of. With this method, you can feed up all the way until harvest, since the reverse osmosis removes any foul entities.

Water Curing
is done by cutting down your buds and removing the fan leaves. It's optional to do further trimming, but note that cured trimmings always make better hash. Place them in a bin of Reverse Osmosis water and keep below above 65F and below 75F. Use something to gently weigh them down. Once a day for 3-7 days (depending on personal preference) change out the water with clean fresh RO water. Because there is a high concentration of chlorophyll and salts in the buds and none in the water, Osmosis will naturally occur, drawing it out of the plant until the levels are equal. The water is changed out to keep the osmotic pressure at its highest: day old water will not have the same osmotic force to suck out everything. After the 3-7 days, hang and dry the buds like you normally would. Done!
Results:
-Less bag appeal
-The smoothest bud you'll ever smoke
-Bud is more potent, but only because the total weight is reduced. IE- where you may get 1.5g air curing, you'll only get 1g with water cure: a much purer product
-Using them method allows you to pump in nutrients all the way to the end, with NO 1-2 weeks of flushing. That could increase yields significantly.

Remember that nothing we want to smoke is water soluble. That means it will not leach out into the water. The only thing that can happen is trichomes can break off if you treat the buds roughly: be gentle.

So, I stand firm with flushing during pre harvest if you use jar curing, but if you want more potent buds, you should feed all the way up until harvest and use the water curing method. Just my 4 cents ;

Typically it is good forum etiquette to give credit where credit is due and to not plagiarizer others work whether intentional or not.

heard this mentioned but never actually looked into it. may have to experiment with this process a bit. definitely worth checking into further at the very least

What is the strain labled floppy? It has such an amazingly dense trichrome pattern. Almost looks fake

Thats the Sugarpunch, she grew so big so quick that she was hard to move around and she kinda "flopped" all over the place so, along with the "twin towers" she was also nicknamed "Floppytitz" :)
She was a gorgeous girl. I have another one finishing up now, just as nice but not as tall.
She was just dripping with trichs sparkling all over her and she smelled like some sort of candy from one of those chocolate shops on the boardwalk or something.
