That time of year again

So im gettin ready for this years big crop I have my clones ordered from my supplyer got a question thow

I want to drop some trees in my grow site what is the best direction to let them fall north east west or south so that I can maximise the amount of sun gettin to the plants

also I have a friend that says that is best to grow on a westward facing slope is there any trueth to this

i would plant on a south facing hillside if i lived in the northern hemisphere

do you mean high north low south faces

yes because the apparent(as we percieve it) path of the sun becomes lower in the southern sky heading into winter. north facing slopes will become shaded and east or west will not recieve as much as a southern slope.

clearing branches and brush is one thing. dropping trees is not a good idea. outdoors you want a south west exposure.
