TGA Jillybean VS Vortex yeild smell, and flavor?

hey bout to start up another grow,
gotta ebb and flow setup at the moment and also looking into some new genetics
i can pick up tga gear from my local dispensary

anyone got experience with these strains?

I've grown the jillybean...damn good smell and taste but not the most potent. Glad that I have her though, she smells and tastes so gooooood. Have hebly be ard that it takes nutrients and stress pretty well which would probably be good in ebb n flow

Have not tried or smoked vortex but subcool holds it in high regards (higher than jillybean). Have not heard much of how she smells or tastes but potency wise, this one is greater (took the high times medical cup for #1 sativa a month or so ago).

the votex just seem too potent too pass up and its been getting some good hype latel

im really lookin for a keeper and stuck between the two hmmm...

Yield wasn't that great but I couldnt really complain. Only grew out two seeds, got a orange and orange cream phenos. Ended up with just clones of the regular orange pheno which I got going again. It will take a couple runs before I can truely comment on the yield.


To be honest, this was my first tga purchase. I wasn't able to make a decision on what I wanted to get from them so I grabbed a pack of the strain that first caught my eye and put me up on tga which was jillybean. If you are really looking for a keeper, the vortex would find a keeper for potency while the jilly would give you the taste (its not totally weak, pretty good daytime smoke).

I think im gunna give the vortex a run and see how it goes...

I can get a good deal on the tga genetics, like 60$ a pack of ten seeds that i can get anytime from a dispensary around where i live.
ill be sure to post a journal here soon when i start them up

All of tga stuff gets good hype....from subcool, but then he's the king of bs...I mean hype.

I've run 4 of his strains, with Jilly and Vortex being two of them. Jillybean did not come close to making the cut in my garden and Vortex almost didn't make the cut, but I'm kinda glad I did keep it. I had 3 sativa phenos and 2 indica phenos with the Vortex. Kept a sativa cut. The potency is pretty good but not pain relief good. I smoked tga cream of the crop phenos for a few months, and then when I smoked a real strain it knocked me on my ass

Thats why Vortex won this years Medical Cup grown by an independant grower beating out Sub himself. No one even knew it was Vortex until after the fact because the grower entered it as God's Pussy. The truth is Subs gear is good stuff, they are poly-hybrids so you might have to do some searching to find what your looking for but I've found keepers in every TGA strain I've grown except hash queen.

never tried vortex, but smoked a bowl of sage and sour, then a one hitter of Jilly bean ten mins later. The jilly cut right through the sage & sour, tasted just like a jelly bean and I was wreaked.

heyas i just grew out a jack the ripper and although its still drying the potency looks really good however i found the yield to be lacking. if anyone knows of a good potency large yield TGA let me know. im growing out qleaner right now too so maybe this be better yielding.

went to the dispensary today and they were out of everything but agent orange! i cant get any other seeds from them cuz they got bought out or some bs so i decided to get the AO seeds and give it a try, not a bad deal for 60$ i suppose. iv had agent orange before but i wasnt grown right or wasnt cured and dried properly so i was kinda turned off by the strain before purchasing the seeds. hopefully i can put some justice to this strain, hope the yield is as good as its supposed to be.

Sub doesn't really breed for yeild but rather for quality(flavor and potency). That being said some pheno's of all his gear yeild more than others, you just have to do some hunting.

My customers ALWAYS ask for my Ice, WW, and Blueberry before the Qleaner, Void or Vortex that I run. And I weeded out phenos from all of them. 5 vortex phenos, 6 void and 4 qleaner phenos. Subcool has his following of little potheads but I'm just not one of them. And then there is that arse kissing brown nose little f*ck metalhead who has to run to subs rescue eveytime I voice my opinon on tga gear. And I mean every single time. It's getting old man. Just go do him and get it over with.

Your hilarious, every time someone asks about TGA you stick your 2 cents in hating on TGA and bashing me because I have a different opinion. All that I did was state the truth, Vortex took home 1st place at this years Medical Cup, I guess that does mean it's shitty. I'm sorry if I found dank from TGA and you haven't but 5 or 6 females from a particular strain isn't really a strong basis for judging a strain as a whole. If you had smoked any of my TGA keepers I know you would think differently. I'm sorry my opinion offends you enough to take shots at me but if it makes you feel better about yourself keep it up, this forum is probably all you have and I wouldn't want to take that away from you.

No not quite metalhead. I'm well known in this town as a prominent small business owner for the past 33 yrs. Are you even that old? Now my legit business is slowly becoming a cover business for my grow op which I take very seriously and the majority of the time here on riu is for research. You have as many post at riu in a few months as I do in a few years. Oh and we spent the day recording in Boston and are now hitting up all the record labels. This is not quite all I have friend I think you have me mixed up with someone else.

I have my reasons for not thinking to much of subcool. Yes he is a marketing genious but not a real breeder in my opinion. He also stabbed me in the back after I whored out hundreds of orders for him. But anyways he has an endless supply of dumb potheads who feed his ego and all I have is myself and at least 4 other growers who documented their tga stuff last winter at the same time that I did and pretty much came to the same conclusion as myself.

Can you tell me about the qleaner, im growing some out.. smell taste yield, couchlock etc, sorry about all the questions lol

thanks for the info, i crossed a jack the ripper male with a THS seeds chocolate chunk and i cut her down in about 3 weeks. it'll be a while before the seeds are ready but im excited also plan on using my JTR pollen on my flying dutchmans pineapple punch. hopefully of of my crosses will give me the yield-potency in looking for #:-}

Seriously, your going to make underhanded remarks, question how old I am in an attemp to nullify the legitamacy my statements, and then ask for a truce. What a dick? I'm glad you have a small buisness and your a failed musician, good for you! The truth is I'm probably half your age and legally earn more than twice the amount you do annually. I grow for the love of the plant and headstash. I've grown out multiple strains from over 25 breeders and have been doing so since I was a teenager so it's not like I don't have something to compare his gear to. Keep thinking that growing 1 pack of seeds is enough to accurately judge a strain and keep limiting yourself to the possibilities. If you are as old as you say you are it's pathetic how immature, narrow minded, and uneducated you are.

PS 90% of my posts are from correcting the misinformation asshats like you spread all over these forums.
