Tent vs room

I've got a space that is 8x10x6.5h. I've run a couple times in the room and i'm wondering if i wouldn't be better off in a tent to get some better control of the temps and keep the res outside of the tent to keep it lower. I only use about 4x8 or 4x6 of the space to flower because i have all my other crap sitting around the room, a/c, dehumid, and storage. Do you guys think i would be better off to get a tent and run a sealed co2 system? I'm looking at 2-3 cmh 315's to replace the 1k i had. I always did top drip nft and i think i'm going to try flood and drain this time like al b fuct was running, but use hydroton and smart fabric pots.

But the main question is a sealed tent better than a open space if i can get some co2 in it? I'm thinking of the reflection being a help as well.

I myself can't see running in a tent but I guess. If your going to run F&D then your on the right track as far as the res, your first thing should be figuring out how to keep it cool, under 70, I run around 66-67 and roots live it. Not sure about the CO2 but a smaller area = less needed and higher canopy temps as well. The 3-315's will be nice :).

I highly reccomend a tent. Just grab a 4x8 Apollo off eBay for $150-$170. You'll love it. You hang stuff from it inside, pull the air out of it through a filter to clean the stank, it's just an all around better method imho

I want something i can move the plants around. I tried coco along time ago so i have the big concrete mixing trays already and some smart pots. How many gallons do you guys think they should be? Going to try to SOG or minimal veg 1-2weeks.

Never done it but if you do I'll be following, thinking of making the switch. And yup the mobility and also not as concerned about res temps would be nice.

I've always had a room of some kind but looked at tents the other day I could see where a tent would simplify things especially since I've been doing single plant grows in a waterfarm it's kinda funny I was looking at a 4x4 Apollo I was thinking how simple one of those & a led would work

I got a gorilla 5x9. One side ebb buckets other side 3x3 fd table. a dehumidifier in one corner everything else hanging including a 8x24 scrubber. I'm ghetto rigging my ac using an overhead vent at the moment

Last runs i always took frozen bottles out in the morning and the afternoon to control temps. It would be nice for stealth reasons not have to make trips multiple times per day. I would really like to be able to go 2-3 days w/o having to go check on them.

tents are great, you can get one that will fill up half a room. keep the flower in tent, where it can stay dark and veg outside tent that can be accessed any time. tent will also help keep the heat from your lights confined to be collected and exhausted out of tent and out of room. this works great if you have led lights as the tent air will be confined and evacuated as fresh air is replacing it as opposed to a whole room with hot air blowing around and trying to exchange that much air at once. inside tents you can hang lights very easily, most tents iv seen also come with a spill containment mat. tents also help reflect light.

I have 3 tents in my 'room' a 4x8, 4x4, and 2x4. I like them because I can have different light cycles running and can control the environment much better as well. Temp in the tents stays within 2-3 degrees of the temp outside the tent. In a basement with house ac vent. Stays 68-70 in there at all times.

I need to also get myself one more tent for mama's and cloning exclusively.

I tried to divide the room with panda film, etc. and I didn't like it at all. Tents make it easy to contain everything including the smell. I'm a hobby grower, so don't need the extra space, but I like my little 'tent city'. I use the 2x4 for veg w/ a T5, then the 4x4 for vegging, or to flower off cycle from the main flower tent in the 4x8 which has a 6 site rdwc with the control bucket on the outside. I go in there maybe once a day for only a couple minutes to see what the ph/temp/ec is and maybe water the small veg tent. Once a week I change out the water in the rdwc system, takes maybe 10 minutes and that's pretty much it. When the lights come on I do go and look at them and smoke a joint, but don't really do any work on them.

I'm exactly the same but built a 9 site to use from now on. Mine got too big last round and I'd like to be able to keep them smaller with the same yield. 20160710_165908.jpg
And to add, I was concerned that I'd be using a lot more water on changes this round, but remedied it with 1 gallon MINI rdwc to get my roots nice and long before they go into the 5 gals. So I'll probably use even less water this round and just have 2 gals in each bucket rather than the usual 3 it takes to get to the net pot.20160713_114454.jpg 20160729_125130.jpg 20160730_142246.jpg

buckets are a great idea for dwc but i like to be able to move the buckets around vs fixed possition even if it means i have to manage them individually. i had to switch from totes because trying to LST when things get crowded can become and issue when dealing with more than one kinda girl at the same time.

Scrog my friend. I use a screen and once they're in there, they can't move. I love buckets. I wanted mobility too, but realized it's just not needed. You're already confined to a small space, what could you possibly need to move anymore anyways?
LsT? Gives se credibility to individual buckets though I suppose.
