Set up

400w hps cooled hood
2.5x2.5x5.5 tent
Carbon filter & 6 inch 440cfm fan
6 in duct booster fan
Oscillating fan

acurite digital thermometer says its 81 degrees

Tryna decide how to ventilate to get the best temps .

This room seems to get hot and build heat but idk if I should leave the skylight open ? Any suggestions

I currently have the duct booster fan in that short duct in the bottom of the tent bringing in air directly from the a/c
Not sure if I need it in there tho.

Maybe I cud use it to exhaust more hot air out one of the upper duct holes ?

Or maybe use the exhaust fan to go
ac> light > exhaust out tent
And use the booster fan with the carbon filter ?

is this good or should I go about things a different way
Should I be cooling the tent and light seperate ?

Having same issues 3x3x6 440cfm duct fan air cooled 400w few fans inside circulating and 20"box fan blowing fresh air in and it stays around80-85 which hasn't hurt me too bad but now I'm flowering and it worries me. On your list you have duct booster fan what is that and what do you use it for also so you blow air or suck air from your light? Always wondered if that made a difference my setup I blow air across hood

WP_20160320_16_34_29_Pro.jpg here's my 400 watt set up, filters air through scrubber, cools light, and pulls air out of the top which is hottest and smells the most. It runs 70-80 degrees inside tent, never had any issues. I got it vented out the window

From my experiences fans pull better than they push, and the plats love negative pressure in the tent. If it were me. I'd close the top vents, and open a bottom one. The negative pressure would pull the cool air through the bottom vent and u wouldn't need a fan bringing air in. Just my opinion. Happy growing and good luck!

My tent is 2X2.5X7 and I run good negative pressure with a 4" 190 cfm inline fan and phresh filter. I leave one intake vent on the bottom of the tent open, and the fan/filter mounted up high. My temps are lower, like 70-75....but I use about 600 watts of LED.

Wresting to move from my tent to setting up a room. Do you like the leds? I've only used mh/hps. What are good brands and do you need different ones for veg and flower or how's that work? Thanks

That's all correct :) however I would recommend you move the fan in front of the cool tube. So go filter - fan - cooltube. Fans slowly degrade having hot air pulled through them. :)
