temps with led lights

So I read somewhere that you need to keep the room 80-85° with led lights is this true? I'm switching from 400w hid to 2 xgs-190 next grow I'm excited

In my experience, temperatures aren't much of a big deal as people make them out to be.
Certainly there are optimal temps for each strain, but I have had successful grows with surprisingly high temps (mid-high 90s F), and with surprisingly low temps.(low-mid 60s)

The only thing plants don't like is sudden temp changes.
If your closet is a bit higher/lower than optimal, your plants will get used to it.

I was thinking same but it did make sense about transpiration I'm just gonna shoot for 78° and see how that works since it will be my first led grow I'm so anxious to see how these two lights will do

Hot temperatures, can overheat the LED's themselves causing a loss of efficiency, this is why most try to keep ambient at around 25C. Not saying that hotter ambient temperatures will Directly affect the diodes themselves, but it won't help.

I would think this is reason #1 for ambient temp around 25C in an LED grow.
