im using cfls, and now that its summer my closet is usually getting temperatures of around 84-89F, 29-32C

that is just a little high.....keep it below 30oC, you'll be fine.

84 is fine 89 getting to high! i keep my grow room between 78- 85 during the day and around 65 at night!

its hard to keep it cool though. because its upstairs and now that its so hot out, it just gets hot in there. i have a fan blowing in there all day. oh well, im sure ill figure something out. thanks for the knowledge everyone.

hey, man-use some regural fans if you can fit them in your growroom, or do what i do.I f you have a nice outdoor plot or a space to put them???-then put you plants outside if your temps. are too high-YOUR PLANTS WILL LOVE YOU 4 this .
