Temps and Leaf coloring questions on saplings

Hey, I have 3 fem'd red dragon saplings in a 2' x 2' x 5' grow tent under a 250w MH. Soil is happy frog. Watering without nutes right now.

As they are growing I am noticing that the green in the leaves is not uniform. Its darker towards the center and speckles to a lighter green at the tips. Here's a pic from yesterday that I also posted here. Noticing it more today as they are larger.

Also, having troubles keeping the heat down. Came in tonight and it was 102. I have a fan outside the tent blowing thru one of the vents. and a baby desk fan inside circulating. Do you guys suggest putting a stronger fan inside. Whats the best way to position it in relation to the saplings. Im assuming straight on them would be too much.

From the pic I wouldn't be too concerned about color. Looks okay to me. 102 is definitely way too hot though! That will stress/stunt the seedling very quickly. Get those temps below 85!

Thanks guys. Working on getting the temp under control now... its back in the 80s but still too close to 90. Been shooting for 85 but its been closer to 86/87 these days...until the 103 degrees of today. Ill try to get it down lower than 85.

but aye get them temps to 85 tops.
Had the tent open with a fan inside trying to exhaust the heat for a few hours. Just checked and its still at 89. Attempting to pull some outdoor air in right now... thats in the 60s. What type of fan/exhaust system would you guys reccommend? I feel like this is only going to get worse in the coming months.

With the tent open all night and the fan and overnight temps in the low 50s or cooler outside it was still 88 degrees under the lights this morning at 8:15am. UGH!

I'd check the accuracy of the thermometer first. Your last post doesn't make sense. Temps should have been closer to 73-75.
A good 4" fan would pull most of the heat off the light, provided it's a sealable hood. Another 4" attached to filter should bring in enough cool air to get the temps much lower, probably close to ambient room temp. With that small of a tent though, 1 fan may do the job.

I thought maybe the temps were off... I put my hand under the lamp equal distance as the saplings and it doesnt feel hot...even after 30 seconds.

Will check the thermometer when I get home. Also, going to wire up a temperature sensor and data logger and toss it in there for a few days....*puts geek hat on*
