My grow box is 2ft tall x 1.5ft wide x 1ft deep, im running 2 26w CFLs and 2 20w CFLs. I have a 3in. computer fan for my exhaust and a 4in fan for my intake fan. My problem is my temperatures are running pretty high, around 90. Would running another intake fan or exhaust fan help with this problem?

Thanks, VLRD

More airflow most certainly could work. But placement of the fans can be just as important. Remember hot air rises and cool air falls, so I would have my exhaust fans near the top and my intake at the bottom. Also remember if your not working in a air tight box an exhaust fan will cause air to come into your box anyway by creating negative pressure.

Try and switch your fans. If your running 4" fan in and 3" air out your wearing them out as well as slowing airflow. Since you are both pushing air in and pulling air out, the exhaust fan should be larger and higher speed than the smaller one so as to improve the airflow and not bottleneck it.

Alright, I will try switching the 2 around. And yes, my exhaust is at the top of my box and the intake is at the bottom

what is your ambient room temperature. You need some kind of oscillating fan inside the box to promote good air circulation. In my grow tent intake is just as important as exhaust, passive intakes are not always strong enough to pull air in to properly cool. get another fan for intake.
