let me state the relevant schematics to my grow room to better understand my situation. i have a closet space which i've managed to convert into half veg area and half flowering area. the flowering room is 52inx 24inx 8 ft. i have a 6inch duct running from left to right, bottom to top to bottom, connected to a 6inch lamp reflector and in the middle to a 6inch blower (http://www.hydroasis.com/hy/productdetail.aspx?id=1883&product=6”-active-air-in-line-fan-306-cfm) which sucks the hot air from the hortilux super bulb 1000w powered by a hydrofarm 1000w magnetic ballast. i'm sorry if doesn't make sense but i'm silver hazing getting the weekend started. and bombarded with issue and questions or tribulation madifistation. anyway - my temp is too hot for my plants. i connected the airconditioner to the left end of the 6inch tube to let the a/c push cold air in while the blowers pulls it. i went back and removed all the right angels of my ventilation duct. i'm waiting for my lumatek digital ballast but any idea on what the the reason would be for the temp? a bigger blower? your thoughts are greatly appreciated. honestly.

305 may be a little wimpy with 1000w in that small area, but you're also pulling cool air from the bottom, heating it, and then trying to force hot air back down. That's the bigger part of the problem. IMO

Here are a couple ideas:

1. Move the ballasts outside the grow if possible

2. Pull hot air off the top of the grow, cool the lamps with it, and blast it back out the top.

Are you also running a carbon filter?

good point. my temps at 91 degrees f. should i turn off the lamp for the next few days till my digital ballast comes in the mail? i don't want to stunt the ladies.

1. the ballast is already outside of the grow.
2. i can't pierce a whole through the roof but i can shorten the exhaust to the upper right corner.

no carbon filter, yet.

do you think the digital ballast will help much?
