the booster fan rated at 160 cfm may be enough to cool the light(depends on your intake air temps). You can try it, if it doesnt cool enough invest in another vortex.

Thats going to be tricky cause the only other duct hole in the tent is like 3 inches. So should i just put the ductwork up to one of the passive air holes to push out of the tent?

Its a Lighthouse hydro tent. It was really hard finding a 2x4 tent so since they were the only option i bought it. The link to amazon for it is here

In the description it says the bottom ones are 4 inches... they dont look it to me but ill see really quick.

Yes i was wrong it is 4 inches but the issue with that now is there is a wall directly behind those holes lol.

Im in with the tent mods. Draw it up get proper materials to do the work.

Be ready when you cut into the tent for every eventuallity.

Filter==> Cooltube ==> Fan ==> Vent Out

that should do it. that will focus more cooling power on your light by pulling past it. you should be able to cool that thing using passive intakes only. looks like you are growing in a closet. Are you venting into the same closet that you are getting your fresh air from?

I bought another 4-6 inch adapter and put the vortex on the ducting with the light but I have it outside of the tent pulling. The intake temp at the other end is 76 degree and the filter is running with the other smaller booster not hooked up to duct work but better then nothing for the moment. I have to wait till tomorrow but I found a 400 cfm hydrofarm fan for $100 instead of $140. So until then temps are lower but I'm not out of the woods yet at 82 degrees in the tent.

Im actually super suprised my attempt to create a custom hole was a success and not a huge failure as i thought i would screw up lol. Temps are down even more to 82 degrees hopefully a 400 cfm fan on the tube and the 170 vortex on the filter will push me under the magical number of 80.

I moved it up about 8 inches and already saw a drop by one degree. Unfortunately the fan is right at the top and unless i make the whole bigger or disconnect the filter and fan and reconnect them with the fan on top of the tent,

TG113, would it be too much weight to bungee cord or rachet rope the filter to the top(inside) of the tent? You would, as stated, be extracting more of the hot air out, and creating more valuable floor space for growing. Looks like its coming along lovely! Just my .02.... I have a small tent as well, and the temps can be tricky.
All the Best!

Bungie Cords are ingenious i totally forgot they even existed lol. The only problem is though is the way they would have to be hung with the filter would result in a 90 degree angle in the duct work and i may or may not have that kind of wiggle room.

Ive managed to get my ambient temps down to 77 at the moment with a 79 temp in the tent. I think this is the lowest it has ever been for this setup :). Cant wait for the new additions coming my way soon as well.

For that 90 degree angle use an elbow duct adapter. And 79, seems like it's on its way down brotha GL!
If you do go with bungee, get the stronger kind for the weight. ATB!!
