A classic liberal in the very best sense. he will be missed by all, liberal and, geeze, I almost said righties, not likely as they are a motley bunch. Teddy was a great statesman and if the politicians we have running the country now had one-tenth his strength and determination, we would be living in a much better country, well as I see it anyhow. Rest in peace Teddy. You will be greatly missed.

yeah not missed by me or more sane thinking people.

Death is a part of life, I will die and everyone up in here, we are all dead dicks just waiting to go limp.

It's ok to admit 1 less dick around is better for us as a whole.

I like that saying, that's mine now!
Im making that my tag LOL

Im not a righty but this guy was all kinds of bad for this land I love and he was best buds with the head prick that is killing our pretty mother land, so at least death is beneficial rather than a waste.

The man was smart enough to oppose the war in Iraq, one of many things he'll be remembered for. Seems conservatives are perfectly fine with trillions wasted on war but they lose their shit when someone tries to get affordable health care for all Americans.

Billions go unaccounted for in Iraq and billions more went to Bush crony contractors like the murderous Blackwater and KBR. Maybe the hard-right wingnuts would care if some of those innocent Iraquis and US soldiers were killed in a car that went into a body of water. Then again, probably not.

Since when? You've talked nothing but shit in this thread. Real classy.
The Mary Jo comment was fair and ACCURATE.... residual jokes aside...(they're called J-O-K-E-S)

I heard he was really good friends with your idol Ronald Reagan.
Yes, there is an old saying... keep your friends close, but ur enemies closer. Reagan abhorred Teddy's mindset, but he had to deal with him, and like any good leader, he did. Reagan was able to work BOTH sides of the aisle. Obama has not shown that ability and it is costing him. he thought since he won, it was over. No, now you must perform as opposed to just talk.

I'm glad to see so many elected republicans showing respect and paying tribute. Seems most people that knew him were rather fond of him.

He was a professional politician, so are they. Quid pro quo.....as long as no one is secretly miked...respect will be the show in public.

I can think of few politicians i disliked as much as this guy.
Well, guess what, here is what Ted Kennedy had to say about YOU:

"
The more our feelings diverge, the more deeply felt they are, the greater is our obligation to grant the sincerity and essential decency of our fellow citizens on the other side. ...

"

They're all good friends.
Therein lies the problem. I'd like to see someone on the hill that REALLY PISSES everybody off. That'll take someone who REALLY MEANS to change the basic structure of gov't.

As long as some republicans can be civil and respectful, far be it from me to question their motives. I recall the Reagan death getting glowingly favorable coverage, despite a few far-left assholes with internet connections. The same appears to be happening now as nearly all of the coverage I've seen on the cable news nets has been very fair. The interwebs are a different story.

These things are always civil right after.....the Kennedy clan is still in force so the garbage will stay hidden awhile longer. Only when the friends start to kick will the stories come out.

Partly true, look at all the former officals throwing the Bush admin under the bus. Nobody has to die when there are book deals involved.

Oh christ here comes the Bush bashing again, LOL.
Wait to see what your Savior is remembered for, he sure is working hard to bring us to Russia's level in the economic standings.

Ok you you wanna talk spending? Yeah Im not wasting my time there, if you can't see for yourself then your a blind little person at obamas kool aid stand.
Thats ok don't worry you and I wont have to pay back for his spending, the next few generations will have that burden.
obama has spent FAR more than Bush did in a entire term.

Ah Im not going there, you are what you are and I'm glad I'm not and that's good enough for me.

I don't need to speak see your good old boy obama is gonna prove me so right in so many ways, he won't make it a 2nd term so Just keep watching his public approval rating fall, it's getting close to Bush's, another year he will be more hated than Bush, and there I will be laughing.

Peace my growin Buds.

Ohh I def wasn't a Regan support either, him and teddy could go down on each other in church for all I care.

BTW, we needed the "War" and still do and I won't go there as to why, think about if we had not.
I'm not talking gas prices here, I'm talking about violence.
Ah but there is that "think" word again.
Anyways I better find some bud.
