I got quite a few removed. For different reasons. Next week i'll get the last two removed that I plan to take off, and those are my wrist ones. I'm taking them off because of how visible they are. But somewhere I have to put a red wing (just one red wing and not on my back) and I want a gypsy tattoo too. That one I might make into a back piece.... Any thoughts? I could use some good gypsy tatt ideas...

Nothing says gypsie like taking your whole family to get water or some shit on the side of a national road on seriously malnourished and mistreated horses and carriage. When they pass by a very small village you get the older women running after them with a broom and throwing rocks and casting plagues upon them. I hear its even worse in eastern europe especially in the balkans.
I wonder whjy they are so disliked... Are people fond of them over in America?
 
I'm in the process of getting a full body suit, it's going to be the largest biomechanical ever done. I'll get some pictures up as we make more progress, the next session is outli.ing the front and sides

I have no idea...I don't usually ask people if they're fond of gypsies...Maybe? I sense I struck a nerve though.

Actually RB, remember the PM I sent you today? There are many Romani that dance and I've learned they abhor the term Gypsy as it connotates thieving, swarthy, swindler stereotypes. Maybe that's what Klite was getting at? Or he was probably just trying to be funny. I took no offense.

PS. the term "travelers" is also used.

its just quite a common tattoo, more of a fad and trend.commonly found on white college kids.
its just my opinion but i think tribal tattoos should stay in actual tribes LOL
 
Maybe. All the Gypsy symbols I found online are like "This house is good to rob." "This one is wealthy". "Kind lady lives here. Tell pitiful story." But i'm not sure how historically accurate that stuff is.

What about celtic knotwork? Its essentially the same thing unless youre irish and are into the symbolism and such.

Gotcha,, I was thinking of "different" tribal tats. As in tribal dance:
