well heres some pics

Im a tattooist, I took a look at your pics and I can tell you that all is not lost.
You dont have to go with a big black blob of a tattoo to cover that mess up. You will need a tattoo thats 2 to 3X the size of that to go with my ideas.

First thing is go somewhere that has talent, man you gotta shop around and do some research for shops in your area. DO NOT go back to whoever butchered you with those tattoos, they suck; flat out. They both look VERY amateurish at best.

Look around the net and see if you dig Japanese style tattoo images. If you do classic Japanese wind bars and or cloudwork could cover that up well enough.

Old school traditional American tattoo stuff is really bold and works well for coverups as well.

Good luck in whatever you decide, just PLEASE remember to do some research and find a good artist w/ a good reputation before you trust them w/ your skin.

ok heres the story. when i was 18 or so i got this most shitty tattoo ever its on my forearm. i got it covered earlier this year. the colors didnt work at all. now i got a tattoo on top of one and you can see them both. i have to go with a solid black tattoo. now i have a 3 inch circle of red and other colors bleeding through from the old tattoo. so i have this ugly disaray of colors and i need an idea of a cover up. its a 3 inch circle and must be solid black. preferably tribal. whos got any ideas? i can think of a black sun with black rays of light i guess but i dont want that it would be too big on my arm. who has some suggestions for a cover up?
maybe look to a black panther head to cover it.

thats not bad at all man!
you could have a big detailed cross cover it or incorporate it into a half sleeve on that part of your arm.

That smiley face might be to big to make it look good, but I have this in solid black on my shoulder and chest. Looks cool with the contrasting black and skin tone rays. The japanese rising sun

yeah i have three tattoos 2 of them are professional and look good. this one im trying to cover is garbage. i wish i could go back 7 yrs and replace it. the story is i was super drunk and i made a gun and ink cuz at the time i was going to have something regardless. so when i woke up in the morning hung over im like oh shit that looks like crap. so a few weeks later my friend was like i can fix that so i showed him the smiley i wanted to cover it up. i think the smiley would have worked if i went with a darker red or something. but yeah after that i went to a shop to get my ink done. im just trying to fix a mistake
