Tasty LED 3000k 90CRI vs 4000k 80CRI grow log

I might be wrong @churchhaze but I don't believe you agree with de-fan this early, right?
I only cut off leaves while harvesting. I do cut sucker branches that I don't think my light can support once right before flip and again a week into flip. (Both of my 4x2 tents have relatively low intensity. something like 12W/sqft PAR. I could go for an upgrade to the newer gens)

Yeah, I ended up not cutting branches like I initially planned. Once I trimmed down the large fan leaves, I discovered it was not really needed. Did not veg long enough with proper topping to warrant cutting the weaker branches as they are producing nicely.

You would think it would be something that has been tested extensively and put to rest one way or the other. I mean, anyone who has two plants...

Ok so start of day 34. Buds starting to swell. Still better growth in the 3000k which I believe at this point will continue. Got more of a "level" view. Canopy definitely not even but still plenty of bud sites and good growth so I'm not worried about it. Id say within 2 weeks I will have quality buds about 6-12" long.

some where about half-way. I threw a few from another run, that are about 2 weeks behind if you see some younger flowers in there.

this is with no CMH, I got my QB today ill going to run that instead on one side.

so one side will be 9 3590's 3k @75watts

one side 5 3590's 3k @75watts + the 260 3k (2)QB's

What strain? Looks good. Nice and frosty. The Ghost Train that I have looks a lot like that, lots of early frost.

I'd just like to say that I'm very happy with my T 22-3000. I'm still in early veg with serious seeds Kali Mist under less than ideal circumstances. The temp is often over 90° and sometimes 100. I also transplanted early in soil that hadn't finished cooking, but beyond some slight leave coloration, very good growth with no signs of stretching at all. This is looking to be a very bushy sativa. This light, so far, is a great deal at $360.

Sorry. Hellacious week. My son was in a car accident and I have been dealing with that. Thankfully he will be OK. My beautiful Camaro SS? Not so much. But the main thing is that he will be fine so I am grateful for that!

So, these pics were from a day ago. Basically 7 weeks complete (49 days). Like I said, these plants can reach 70 days without an issue so still a ways to go. Now, for some of you who have not grown many strains, it may be hard to understand how much there really is here. These buds are ROCK solid and doing great. Really bulking up nicely. Having grown this before and while not a huge producing pheno of this strain, it was the most potent. That said, there is much more quantity in there than meets the eye ;)

Still chugging along at watering every 3rd day. Nutes are every other watering. Temps/humidity levels still the same. This shit is SMELLY. My kid blew the breaker (he hooked the vacuum up to the wrong outlet when I had my large tent running which has 1250w of LED) and so it wacked the GFCI on the smaller tents. Lights were not on but I have a fan constantly scrubbing. I forgot to reset the GFCI and within 2 hours, I am pretty sure the neighbors could smell my house! The smell is almost overwhelming. Super sticky and trich production is really ramping up. I will see if I can get a better bud shot this week. Iphone cam sucks ass. Pics, soon... Site messed up...

So, do you believe a 3000k will do better if I do it on auto plants??
How can I tell when and how much is it ok to dim the light??

Great post and thanks

First off, a public apology to @Rahz for not updating lately. Life went crazy with family issues that I won't get into. Now this fucking shooting by this cunt bag and shit has hit the fan around here. That said, I am done with the grow and it turned out well. I do believe it could have turned out better, but with a very short veg time to get the review going I believe hurt the yield a little. Quality is outstanding as I expected it to be with a very pungent aroma that everyone will notice.

Total flower time was 9.5 weeks. I anticipated 10 but they were pretty well done at 9.5 so I chopped. Both tents remained consistent throughout the grow and both grew outstanding. The difference was VERY minimal. With only a ~5% difference, one could say that it does not matter but the 4000k lamp is 2% more efficient than the 3000k so the difference is actually a bit larger when comparing par watts. From TastyLED product page, the 3000k lists @ 102 PAR WATTS while the 4000k lists @ 107 PAR WATTS. Almost 5% more PAR but the 3000k produced 5% more in quantity with the quality of the 2 being essentially the same (I cannot tell a difference).

3000k 90CRI: 221 grams fully dry, manicured, buds all chopped from stem
4000k 80CRI: 210 grams fully dry, manicured, buds all chopped from stem
Lamps are rated at 45.3w per cob for 181.2w to the lights driven.

Here are a few of the final pics of the drying, both the final product bowls, and a shot of each of the tents buds up close.

Interesting results since they follow a trend. 5% or so would be a reasonable difference if spectrum affects yield efficacy but since it is a small amount it's difficult to make conclusions. Worth noting is that before the lamps were sent I checked the power draw of both and they were the same. My meter doesn't register decimal points but they are at least within .5% variance. So I think this is a good test bed and if you cared to do a second test that would be good. If the results can be replicated it would go a long way toward suggesting the yield enhancement isn't a fluke.

Either way, no worries on the situation, it happens. Thank you for completing the grow and providing the data.

Week 1 of flowering
3000 80CRI cobs help not to syretch if they stretch like those ur lights are too weak

Do u even understand PPFD, PPF, PAR? Most sponsored testers would know these things like Calmag more mag being crucial to a cob grow
