Taproot Damage?

essentially my question is... can taproot damage hinder the entire growth process of a girl?

because i believe one i accidentally damaged the main taproot in the first couple weeks, and it has really just been stuck in this small fragile state ever since.

it's not that it doesn't grow... merely that it's growth is very minimal and short. while the other girl is doing great.

i topped both girls already and the first one which is about a week and a half older looks fantastic and is really bushing out perfectly with great thick stems. but the other girl seems to just be a runt.

is there anything i should do to help this situation?

i am doing a scrog and was planning on moving the one girl that is a week and half older to another spot with less light, and allow it to gradually grow while the runt catches up to the good girl.

i apologize for all this rambling, but basically all i'm asking is what kind of damage does "taproot damage" do?

thanks for all your help.

Possibly stunted by damage, or could be just a genetic throwback.

Yeah you could wait and hold back the healthy one, but i'd be inclined to go with the good healthy girl and let her develop to her fullest potential, and just let the runt go or grow slowly and hopefully it'll get its shit together and you can move it in with the good girl.

Other ideas? anyone?

I agree, eventually it should establish a good root system again, but it wont be the same size as the plant that had no root damage. I would still grow it out...

thanks for bringing this thread back to life. i believe that you are exactly right with both; damage AND genetic mishap. yeah hopefully Christ willing it will establish well in the next few days and begin growing good. and thanks for telling me to let the other grow to its FullEsT potential! that's exactly what i'm going to do... i actually just lowered her from the lights just now... and just gave them both a little treat of molasses.

yeah Christ willing it will establish in next day or so and really shoot off. thanks for your words of confidence--haha and bringing me back to reality that the stunted one is still going to be smaller. but i guess we shall see how it goes. Christ willing everything will go great--well actually i beg that He curse it destroy it completely if that is His will. man im nuts!
