river water is usuallr runoff from the greasy oily streats and the nasty roundup used on farms and gardens its prolly not that great of an idea to use un treated water you just dnt know whats in it could be some mo up the up stream dumping used oil in the or antifreeze or dead cats or rubbin one out in the stream ya never know some ppl are preatty stupidThe chlorine may eve kill some of the nasty stuff in the ground if you use soil...
I was wondering, I have access to river water, maybe 50 steps from my house.... would this be good for my plants?
well then by all means get yerself some fresh mntn water... wish i was at the foot of a mntn but to the west is notheng but flat farm land and to the east is rolling hills for like 130 miles b4 you hit the mntnsErm, I'm out in the country basicaly on the edge of town at the foot of the mountain where the water originates from... polution is not realy a problem just going by the amount and variety of frogs and toads I have here.
Use about 7.0. Some meters default to 7.0 to indicate an error reading that's why the meter makers change it just slightly to things like 6.86...so there is a difference. I would shoot for 6.95 just so you know it isn't stuck at 7.0Can anyone answer this one...
If my manual says calibrate to 6.86 and all I have is 7.0 solution, should I calibrate to 7.0 using the solution or 6.86?
