Tap roots growing on surface of medium. 5 weeks old.

So I’m growing in coco+perlite 70:30 in 2.5 gallon fabric pots, I usually stick my finger couple of inches into the coco at the edge of the pots to see whether the coco has dried up and needs watering. However without realizing, I noticed white tap roots right on the surface of the coco after I accidentally pulled one of the tap roots out without realizing. The plants are 5 weeks old, done LST few days ago. Humidity is mostly around 45-50% however, when the lights are off humidity shoots up to 70/80% which is roughly for 5-6 hours. Does anyone know why tap roots are growing on the surface and if there’s anything I can do? I may have damaged a few tap roots by sticking my finger in to check the coco. No problem!
Roots go were the dirt is, fill top up as necessary, since you have the space in your pots, it will be an easy fix.

For your humidity you will need to exhaust air, or increase the flow, out of grow area during lights out to keep humidity at proper levels, also will help avoid prevent PM.

Plants transpire and humidity goes up, during lights out, which if its not exhausted enough, will increase.
