I take clones before i go into flower. Why stress the clones with having to re-veg. The plant releases a hormone that induces flowering from the change of light cycle 12/12. It shouldnt matter what part of the plant you got the clones from. From my experince, cloning a floweing plant takes longer to root.

Which is what everybody already knew/said at the beginning of the thread, but I'm glad we're all in agreement.

Ok here is something a friend of mine tried and I would not have believed it unless I saw it with my own eyes...
He likes to experiment do just after he harvested he took a wet but trimmed up bud with plenty of stalk left, he dipped it into Clonex routing gel and put it into his Cloner.... it took about 3 weeks but it rooted and started to produce leaves....
I saw it when he was taking clones off of it to see how that plants would grow and was going to throw out into the flower room.... it was just the weirdest thing I ever saw, a plant that in the middle of 2 main stalks was a 3 inch bud... but then he has too much time on his hands anyways.... I wish I had a pic to up load...

I prefer to take them 3 days from when I switch to 12/12 call me crazy but I think they root quicker

I dont wait tell they have flowers on them, never that unless I'm trying to save a strain that just happened to be bad ass that I thought wasnt going to be so I flowered it without cutting clones

why take clones before they show sex?
You can tell if a plant is male or female before you go 12/12. After about 4 weeks the plant ahould show its sex. Along the main stock inbetween the nodes. The female will throw out some white pistals. And the male show will its balls lol.

Well folks... here are some pics of the weirdos... I couldn't stand the skinny purple stems and the big green tops... I took cuts and replanted them. Except for the 2 that looked good. They should be ready to go in my Veg room in about 2 weeks or less... :leaf:
