Take Clones After Flowering?

If I were to flower a plant and after 8-12 weeks harvest clones can they grow still? Like just chop the buds off the lateral sideshoots at the node and dip the shoot in rooting gel and put it under an 18/6 then eventual 24/0. Would it survive or die from stress of being cloned and reverted back to veg.

Also do you guys use a humidity dome for your clones?

chances of it living are very slim. the plant is in die mode when flowering that long. that is the end of its lifespan. 3-4 weeks in flower is the longest you would want to wait b4 taking clones.

Wait until your ready to harvest the plant, but chop the main stem an inch above the lowest branches, leaving a short stalk with 2 branches sticking out (remove any bud from these branches, but not leaves (if there are any left).

Put this back under veg lights and wait. The leaves will die off naturally, but with a bit of luck, in a few days you will see some fresh growth appearing at the branch nodes, and the plant will start a new veg cycle. In a few weeks, you should have a few shoots that can be used to make clones.

I discovered this method when some of my plants were stolen years ago. I had made a temporary greenhouse against the back wall of my house from some plastic sheeting and bamboo poles. Somebody sneaked in one night and cut all the plants (20), leaving just the pots with stalks sticking up. I was so upset, that I just left the pots alone and concentrated on my indoor babies.
When I finally went to dismantle the greenhouse, some of the stalks had developed new bushy growth around their nodes, and they went on to grow and flower successfully indoors :D

Would take a long long time for them to revert back to veg, not worth it. Start a new grow and take clones right when flowering gets underway to buy time. As far a domes go, I just take a clean empty spray bottle and use that to mist them with ASAP. This will work just as well until they shoot roots. Do it 3 times a day, give or take.

you can take a clone at any point of the life cycle.. ive taken clones from a 50/50 indica/sativa 7 weeks into flower.. one lived, one died.. the one that lived is growing very nicely after 45 days of veg and 2 weeks of flower.. keep in mind, that it can take up to 30 days to bring it back to veg state, but if thats your last of the plant and you want it to live on, it can be done.. if anything i would have to say that the plant is growing better this time around..
