It is supposed to the normal price. He told me $1800 but I never know till it's official. That's why I expanded to $2000...but I'm pretty sure I have convinced him that he needs to stay under 2K. From AT's business side, the at660 isn't very good. It cost a lot to make. But from an industry/customer side, it is the best thing to happen. He will sell more at a better price and make up for the lower margins IMO. A true straight up, one light for one light 1000 hps switch is what the masses really want.

But whatever they do, I will help anyone on here out and get you guys the best deal I can.

How does one justify that price tag when you can get a chinese light that will do a 4x4 space for like 700 bucks? Not talking shit really just trying to understand.

A lot of reasons
Chinese lights don't...
-Use 480 of the best diode you can get...that outperform even cree's
-Cover a 4x4 truly better than a 1000w hps with better/equal par numbers across the whole canopy(this is the biggest reason IMO)
-Use top of line driver
-Custom make their housings
-Get used by NASA, Stanford, USDA, Aquarium of the Pacific, and me
-Are american and cost are higher to produce here
-5year warranty

I have never said they were cheap. But they have the most output/watt of any units and they out cover all units I have ever seen or read about with actual numbers.

And buying more chinese is not a solution because that is adding more wattage which is the whole point to spend for a good unit. Why spend all that money if you won't save power in the end. Saving power and not sacrificing performance is what makes the at660 an investment that pays back, not an expensive light.

higher quality Led's, higher par, quality build, longevity. The Chinese lights will last a year of you are lucky. Chinese warranties are questionable. The apaches will run probably at least 5 years before any issues happen

I don't think that's actually true. I don't think that they will be inherently failure prone just because they're chinese. LEDs are pretty sturdy regardless of where they come from.
 
Tags is this AT660 currently available? I tried to find it online and I just cannot am I doing something wrong ?

edit: Seeing you said its GOING to be 18-2000 I guess its not available yet, is there a date?

2 grand in some places is less than a pound....(obviously towards the Northeast it could be 6 grand per P) Growing quality flowers using quality light give you quality medicine, The cost may be more but quality is there. 2 grand for say a minimum of 5 year grow no maintenance.... Good buy to me, Way less heating issues, better output, and oh yeah that damn electric bill will go down...I'm sure there a bunch more pros, the only con being 2 grand?!?!? ...not a bad price at all IMO... Audi vs. KIA....

It is true. It has to do with the manufacturing process of putting it all together. Plus they use LED's that even if everything was perfect and optimal are still 50% less output than a quality top end led. Cidly factory has over 20% internal failure rate. And then at least that much of the ones that pass inspection break before they get to the end customer.
Every thing chinese lights use have way lower performance, reliability and efficiency...all pointing to buy AMERICAN, no worrying and you will grow a lot more and better weed with it.

It's not like chinese lights are new and all this bad talk is just propaganda to keep them away. All the bad stuff is well documented everywhere you look. And yet people are constantly saying "it can't be that bad"...then it is and they say all led's suck. And then a new guy does it all over again. All the while the guys that know what we were talking about from the start are saying "I told you so".
There is the occasional good grow with lower quality lights. But there are far more bad than good. You could do the same or better with mush less wattage from a better panel which would lower the running cost and make it affordable.

It has nothing to do with LED, HPS, or any source specifically. The goal to provide your plants with the right conditions. Lighting conditions are quantified by PAR readings, and it is not a guess on what those conditions are. A 1000w hps has set the standard that we base off because it meetes the PAR critera for optimal growth. If you compare the PAR readings of a 1000w against any LED, other than the AT660, they all will be no where close. They may have a similar reading in the center but the real numbers to look at are what are at the edges of you grow space. That will show how well a unit really covers comparatively. I know not everyone has a PAR meter so you have to ask companies. Most companies won't know or be able to tell you, but that just means they are really making the best light and don't know their shit...I wouldn't buy from them.

All the quotes of myself I posted today show plenty of comparisons of the AT660 vs hps numbers and info that you will find enlightening.
 
Most "American" LEDs are chinese LEDs and I've seen plenty of people do fine with lots of panels. I bought some hydrogrow LEDs years ago and they are much lower quality than the Chinese panel I just recently picked up and they still work fine. I guess we'll just have to wait and see but I don't think all chinese LED companies are bad just like not all American LED companies are good.
 
Cool. You got a good one...well 20,000+ other people are pissed they spent that money and theirs is broken.

I want the best light that will perform as well or better than a 1000w hps and if it takes a little over 1 year to payback on electricity alone, than it's worth it, not to mention what it will grow. If you had the choice of any light for free upfront what would you use???

I pretty much only support 2 panel companies...Apache tech(obviously) and a51...no china chips there...and I support them because they use the best and perform the best.

If you do decide that LED lighting makes sense for you, I can't say this enough: make sure you do your homework and make sure you are buying from a top-notch company.




Facts are proof, he is not going to show you the 20k people who had failed issues with LED, but he did show you why the apache are superior to all other LED companies, thats fact and truth. ​
 
The Area 51 LEDs is the only other brand I hear good things about...May be because my teacher is Tags but who cares haha!

Not to be on your D!ck tags, but you show why things are better not just say, oh its made in USA, you show us the proof and the test etc. thank you
