T8/T5 Experienced Growers

Looking for growers who use T8 or T5 lighting for their full-term grows. Good quality pics of plants and grow area would be great. Looking for neat and tidy grows with proper wiring and ventilation. What strain(s) are you growing(grown)? Veg time? Flowering time? General advice welcome. Thanks to everyone who replies.

Well.. You can forget the pics. I don't do that.

But I did have 6 NL autos under a 432w T5 unit. Seed to harvest in 7 weeks. Got a oz a piece

Oh.. So I got a second 432w unit and put it on the back side of the plants.. I got 3oz a piece.
What I'm getting at is if you wanna flower with them, don't.. Use them as side lighting. Get an HPS

One bulb is better than 8 anyways... Or 16 for that matter

While I have not amped-up my T8's as of yet, I will be within a week or so. I have a friend who has been growing with T8's for several years now and he's getting about 3 ounces per plant on average.

Standard T8's just are nowhere near as bright as T5's and I can see the difference between my two veg cabinets (one with T5, the other with T8's.

I've used T5's for more than a year now, 2ft, 2 bulb due to small space, this was an afgan kush ( free seed ) just one plant, 12 weeks total, 6500K bulb for veg and 3000K bullb for flower, I've just purchased a 2 ft 4 bulb with the hopes of getting faster grow, I've had decent grows and feel T5's are good enough for a small grow, I can grow 3 to 4 plants depending how tall I let them grow, just a few pics of the plant.

I also use 16 bulb t5 for full grow veg bulbs for veg and then do a 50 50 bulbs for flower

Wow...that was under a 2ft, 2 bulb fixture?! 12 weeks total veg and flower? What medium are you running? Nutes?

Take a look at my 2 grow threads. I have had pretty good results with T5 Ho lighting and I am not the best grower in the world.

I grow in hydro, 6 inch pots filled with rockwool grow cubes, feed twice a day, no pumps just feed like regular house plants, using GH flora series, I monitor my ppm's and maintain ph at 5.8.

These plants were grown under 324-432w HOT5 using specialty aquarium bulbs.

I was using an experimental DIY misting system, which was the forerunner to what I am doing now with HydroHalo Drip Rings

sorry i cant post pictures right now but i grow 8 plants in a growlab clone tent. i have a hyrdofarm t5 2x4 8 bulb light in there. I let the plants veg under 8 bulbs of 6400k blue spectrum for 4 weeks from when veg starts. then i go to bloom with 8 bulbs of 3400k red specturm for the rest of cycle. i super crop the bud areas every 4 days from veg at 2 weeks in. i also top them if i ever see there growing to big in veg. i also cut the main stem 2 nodes down to create 4 main colas. when they go into flowing stage i pinch the main colas and bend them to an angle where the lower bud branches can form into colas. giving u a total of at least 8. In return when u bend the main stems with having a t5 you can keep the light 3 inches away especially in bud it results in every bud spot on that bent branch to grow towards the light making dense mini colas on the branch that is one of your 8 colas. as long as you super crop your plant enough and keep a nice fan blowing on them and make nice thick stems you wont have a problem with the bending wich might lead to a snap.
