T5 Rooms

Did T5 lighting systems prove worthy? It seems like folks stopped talking about them a year ago.

My T5HO setup is working fantastic and iam getting great results. perfect for me until iam in better conditions for HID lights.

You are happy with your yield? And temperature?

Do you need to vent for odor?

Last question: where does one look for T5s?

I got mine at my local headshop, but you can get them at a lot of hydroponic stores or order online. Mine is a HydroFarm model, 6bulb 4ft.
Temps are the real reason i went with it, as its hard as hell to keep things cool in my house. I keep my plants small and bushy, and my yield (as i dont have any other experience to compare it to) doesn't seem to have suffered any, but there's no way to truly know that for sure. One thing i CAN say is that all 3 of my bagseed plants came out Dense, Sticky, and stinky, though the one thing i dont have to worry about in my house is the smell.

Only issue i truly ran across is light penetration, but i think i found a way using lst to circumvent this. Passed that, i couldn't be happier =D

You can also find t5 set ups at your local fish stores. They use them alot for salt water tanks. Go with the HO lights (High Output) there 55watts per bulb.

I bought my T5HO @ HTG Supply. Its a 4' 4 bulb system. 54watts with approx 20,000 lumens. I am veggin TGAs The Flav right now with it, so far so good. I am also gonna flower with it just to see how different it is from my HPS..
