I have a 3 x 3 x 3 tent I plan on using for vegetating. I have a T5 Grow Light 2 Foot 8 Bulb Lamp Fixture HO Fluorescent Bloom Veg 6500k. 5000 lumens I believe. Is this light satisfactory for veg'ing?

Then get a HID

Many plants means many different canopy heights, which is hard when the bulbs are straight...
Furthermore with differing canopy heights with low watt T5 bulbs means light/photons will degrade much faster

You're fine for as many plants as you want to fit in there. The downside of T5's is lack of penetration and that's not a factor in veg. Vegging plants love T5's. I know great growers that grow start to finish with T5's and have amazing results.

I personally veg plants up to 20" without a problem.

Thanks for the input. I want to use the 3 x 3 x 3 for veging. I have a 55" X 55" X 79" tent with a 1000 watt MH Bulb for flowering. hope to keep a few mother plants for vegating also in the smaller tent.

one of my nugs.

I just went t5. Using the 6500 bulbs that came with it.

It is a 4 ft 6 bulb. 2 4 or 6 bulbs can be run.

I took some bad advice. People said t5 are not that strong. I ran just 2 bulbs with in A couple inches of the plants and they burned.

I have now backed up to about 10-12 inches and they are fine.
