Yes the actual 4,6,or 8 bulb T5 grow lights are great from sprout to flower.Just make sure you get the multi bulb 4 foot lights as a single 2 foot bulb is only good for clones or starting seeds.

You need a special ballast as well as sockets for the bulbs...check these guys out, they have the best prices on T5 that I have been able to find....High Tech Garden Supply... anyone know where to get one cheaper??

Hi guys
I have a small veg. room that im lighting with T-5 fluorescents grow lights on 20-4 hours .
My flowering room will have 600w HPS that will be on 12-12 constantly .
My question is, will the plants get shocked moving from vegetative stage to a much stronger light in the flowering room?

No they wont get shocked...but i personally think T5s are over priced. I have an 8 bulb 270w 2ft T5 sun system refelecor/ballast deal which was like $270 i think. I definitely dont dont think they are worth the minimal or no better outcomes produced than t8 or standard flouros. I would do another 150 cmh or mh if i had to do it again...same heat, cheaper, better penetarion....

We're also using T5's and so far they've been okay. We bought that one from HTG Supply and it works great though. So far, we've had other problems so we haven't really seen what these lights can do, but I've heard good things about them!
