I am currently growing 8 females under a 432 watt 40,000 lumens Tek T5 light system. Grow room is 4x4, mylar on walls, floor and ceiling. I'm using
4 1 gallon homemade CO2 and 2 oscillating fans.

I was wondering if anyone else has used these lights before and what kind of results you had. The lights are 7 inches above plants. Plants are 2 feet tall and close to 2 feet round.

Any info or imput would be deeply appreciated. Will upgrade to a couple 1000 w MH & HPS after this grow. Will also post some pics prob next week as one of my indicas got a a tad of a nute burn.

i havent used t5 but ive had my share of flourescent tubes, and if those are running cool enough i would get them so they are basically touching the light, usually they will be so close the top fan leaves will actually hug the sides of the flourescent, hope this helped

they're pretty cool actually. One thing i've noticed on here...everyone is all up about MH and HPS lights....but watts are watts and lumens are lumens! The system i have is the exact equivalent of a 400 w mh and hps
minus 10-15,000 lumens which is supplemented by extra fluoros

The only reason i didnt go with the mh and hps...was paranoid about heat signatures and where i'm growing these i would have had to run a shitload of ducting to vent..so

I know i would def get better results with the mh and hps...but would still like to hear from others who have used the HO flourescent to get a feel for what i can expect.

I use the inner sun T5 system. 8 HO 54w bulbs per assemblies. 2 assemblies.
I've been pretty happy with them. Used them for 3 grows. Getting 2 to 3 ounces per 3 foot plants.

Not really, you could do a search and find some that have used T-5's a time or two. I have grown from 12 to 20 plants under those lights, results are in my sig. VV:blsmoke:

I forgot to say the co2 will not be needed until the plants are in flowering, the vegging plants can't make use of it. VV

what...

why wouldn't a vegging plant make use of it.
that's like saying a human child can't make use of oxygen...

I've used hid for years but i'm totally impressed with the t5s. I've been using t5s for the entire process . no heat and alot less on the utility bill.

you would not give a child pure oxygen unless they had respitory problems. I am 59, I have never had 'pure oxygen'. Do some research before you make stupid statements. Saying the plants will not be able to use the additional co2 right now, is more like saying the can't use it right now. If you choose to waste your money to produce it now please go ahead, its the right thing for ya, sport. VV:twisted::blsmoke:

Sorry I havent replied for awhile..thanks for all the responses..deeply appreciated.
I'm down to 4 plants they're 5' tall and about 3' wide. They're 3 weeks into flowering looking and smelling so beautiful. I have 2 Sativas and 2 Indicas. Sativas have between 19-23 colas and quite a few of them are 2' long...my indicas look like the entire plant will be 1 large cola. People I highly recommend the T5 lights...vegging might take an extra month..but well worth it. BTW..this is my first indoor grow...i've grown outdoors for years and have been able to get 3-4 lbs per plant outdoors the same height my indoor plants are right now. A friend of mine who's been growing indoors for about 10 years told me he thought i'll get about 2lbs just off my sativas.

The only problem i've been having is i started using Super Bloom Booster when i started them flowering. 55% phosperous 19% potassium. Directions say 3 teaspoons per gallon of water. I've only been using 1/4 teaspoon and it always burns 2-3 large fan leaves and usually 1 of the lower developing buds..i don't get it..unless my soil mix still has plenty of the nutrients...it shouldn't because those nutrients are only supposed to last 3 months and the plants are 5 months.

I will post some pics later this week. If anyone has more input as always..it's deeply appreciated.
