so i was wondering how far away i should put a t5 cfl from a plant that im going to make a mother?

currently i have 3 lights. 2 150 watt halogens and the 2' t5 cfl which is rated at 24watts, 2280 lumens and the color temp is 6400

so should i ditch the halogens and put the t5 alot closer? is it good where it is? or should i keep all the lights and move the t5 closer or something?

someone give me some pointers thanks and heres a pic

definately get rid of the halogens and if i was you id get me some more cfls and place them around the grow at 3 inches away from plants and be sure to check frequently so they dont grow into them, have you got 2700ks for flowering or are you using a h.p.s or h.i.d, you could also use a mix of these but you do need 2700ks for 12/12 let us know.

sorry to get back late. ditched the halogens ditched the grow partner (and his cat that ate half the plant on the second day) that came up with the idea to take in my own grow closet got that set up and changed out the t5 light cuz its ment for seedlings and cuttings and put up two 100watt cfl equiv lights and the plant is safe and doing great. making a mother out of it so im still going to use the t5 light in due time.

"ate half the plat" thats funny. maybe the cat wanted to top the plant. your going to need more cfl's for good vegetative growth, your good to start for just 1 plant but when you can, get more.

actually want to see if anyone can answer another question: why are some lower leaves getting darker and getting more wrinkles and shinier? im thinking this is because those leaves are not getting enough light but want to make sure. Im I right? and if so then i will add that other light if theyre no objections otherwise
