The Plants:
Currently I have 2 plants that are about a week and a half into flowering. I believe they are indica dominant, but am not sure since they were bag seed(Came from good stuff, was really surprised to see some nice beans in bud of that quality. They were flowered at approximately at 9 and 11inches. These plants look extremely healthy considering all of the shortcomings in their set up:fire:. This is all just a learning process. I love this website and it inspires me to learn more about what actually works from plant guys like UB rather than the popular trends....at the same time some of those buds are crazy. I would like to experiment with some different techniques when i have the $, space, and some more experience.

Lighting:
They were under 20-4 light for a month from seed in happy frog soil. They are growing under a 2 light, 2 foot t-12 and a 2 light, 2 foot t-5. This lighting is less than ideal but will have to do until next grow because there has already been way too much money sunk into this little operation. Also, I am not sure of the light spectrum of the t-12 but i know the t-5 is a veg bulb(Again not ideal). I'm interested in seeing what the final numbers are on such an inadequate set up...Also I am realistic about the outcome having seen my friends grow(max somewhere around an oz per plant on the better ones). Maybe I can beat that by a little considering his environment is worse than mine...but not getting my hopes up.

Cabinet:
the cabinet is slightly over 2ft wide X about 1ft deep X 6ft high. This gives very little space too work with, but its my first set up and will have to do until i move into a new house. Has one shelf with hooks and chains to attach lights near the top. It is lined with reflective material purchased from a hardware store.

DIY Carbon Filter:
The Carbon filter is made out a 50cfm bathroom vent fan that has been covered in layers of carbon from heater filters(not sure what kind)

Nutrients:
NSR Green Leaves Bloom Juice NPK(2-5-4) and Boost Juice. Also, today a friend who is also growing under t-5s and t-12s who is about to harvest gave me bud candy, big bud, and overdrive.

Clone Box:
I also have a small clone box that i'm experimenting with that has some clippings off the bag seed plants. The clippings were put in small (i dont know what they're called) with rooting gel recommended by the local hydro store. I do not know what i am doing when it comes to this especially; once again not willing to spend more money at this point...so its a crap shoot....They are under a 125W compact fluorescent. I have been misting them frequently and put a piece of plastic wrap over them to prevent them from drying out

Pictures:
coming soon hopefully assuming i can get my act together and figure shit out:bigjoint:

Feel free to post comments, questions, and suggestions!:leaf:

Here are the few clones including one that has been potted under the 125w cfl and the nutrients being used on the other two

so it looks like the only two clones that had any root development (on day 7) were the two that look like they were topped....maybe the others died because they were taken once 12-12 started or the two that lived had thicker stems? I had limited space so nature decided which ones to keep for me!

When these plants were small they looked more indica dominant and height was not an issue...now they are taking on more sativa like characteristics and have grown from about 10 inches at start of flowering to over 30 2 1/2 weeks in. I am wondering during what stage of flowering will vertical growth slow...if it will at all and if there are any products i can give them to slow vertical growth? also i was considering switching the light cycle to 10-14 to see if that would help...i know i will get less yield, but at this point that is not my concern. If anyone has any experience with this your feedback would be much appreciated! Please post

It would be interesting to see what will happen if you switch the light cycle. I've never done that before and while I agree that the harvest might be lighter, you have certainly a great setup here.

CAn't wait to see what happens next man.

YOu really got a groove going, so if the quantity is less, so what. I'm sure the quality is still going to be high, which is really what matters.

So great to finally see a lot of thought put into a grow. Sometimes folks just slap things in their room and hope for the best. You're actually a smart grower.

This seems like a powerful combination: bud candy, big bud, and overdrive. Gotta say, AN is certainly impressive when you see the pics on these forums...

Excuse me,did you say that you were Flowering with T-12's? I took over my brothers grow room and due the fact that we need the room wired to handle the 1000w ballast ,I've just been makin Clones & reading post til i can get enuff bread to pay an Electrican. but if you're growing such Lovely Ladies under the same lights practically(I have 8 T-12 Electrolux Kitchen & Bath 3100lmns per bulb) I'm going to Flower my girls immediately!

Nice looking plants man. In my experience, the plants should stop stretching as much after about 3 weeks of flowering. At that point they just start putting on bud weight for the most part. Hopefully yours will stop stretching here pretty soon, if they haven't already.

The stretch has stopped thanks. Yeah they only are under 2 foot 2x T-12s and 2x T5s...The problem with the flouros is the light penetration is not good at all so only the tops see decent light...maybe suitable for a srcog...also if i had the space i would use side lighting

I also have a couple of T8's laying around and have plenty of space (8'x10') I could use them to penetrate the bottom.you have given me new found hope. will post pic's in a few.
Thanks again.:bigjoint:
