T tries to grow a pound

I was waiting 24 hrs for a while but eventually just started going straight to the plants. For whatever reason if I let it sit 24 hrs and then mix nutrients I have to use PH up. If I mix immediately I get a ph of 6.3 at full strength. I could mix and then let it sit but it doesn't seem to be necessary...I don't know.
You might be able to determine the amount of chlorine in your tap using pool test strips/chemicals.

If it barely registers, I would probably continue to use it.

Had to stop using my tap because the ph and ec varies randomly thru the year.

I never bubble for dtw coco. Bubbling effs with my PH.

Hmm, makes sense. I'm using two air stones in my rez right now. Rez normally lasts 3 or 4 days and its always been the same PH when I rarely check it. I also have a lid over my rez, if that makes a difference. I would think not since the air stone is bringing in fresh air.
I've measured the EC of my water between 300-500. Haven't seen 500 in 6 months or so. If I see anything over 300 EC was planning on cutting it with RO water from the store.

Dude, You want it to mess with your PH in the tap water only. Thats the whole point of bubbling for 24 hrs. Get all the shite out. It will evaporate or whatever but basically bubbling is the first step to clean water to make a feed. Mine starts around 7.1 or 2 & goes down to 6.8. After mixing my (New To) Jacks nutes it drops a lil lower then id like at 5.8-5.9.
Some feeds may get a drop of silica prior to adding the base nutes to get that .2 higher i wanted. If not then i have organic stuff that will raise it like Floralicious Plus. Or, whats wrong with a drop of PH up? Add before Live Bennies.
Sure beets nasty, chlorinated & god knows what else water you're starting out with.
My water smells funny coming from the tap. First year here didn't even give it a chance. Straight to a 0 ppm RO Filtration set-up. Worst mistake i could've made.
If your water is questionable maybe consider the simple double Charcoal water filters. Few steps before true RO. 2 small filters mounted to the wall. Easy & won't strip your mag/cal. Or waste water but will eliminate debris & most unwanted stuff, should take care of chlorine too.
Guys, Bubble your rez's. Cannot stress this enough. Still standing water is not the best to use.

No reason to be insulting. We all do things different for our own grow and we all manage to get to the similar results.
Not trying to be insulting but what i am recommending is Basic, common growing rules & knowledge 101.

We come here to learn the right thing to do, no?
Say for example its a matter of PH Swing for you because that is what's most apparent. Are you saying you'd rather make a mix using unstablized water that will cause a ph drop later anyways that you don't see but the plants do, rather then stabilizing your water first, then making a mix you can add a drop of ph up too if need be?. Now your going into the media at your controlled feed mix that is stable.
Again, ph is only one of the many reasons to bubble your water bro.

Typically I dont make recommendations. I also dont rag on other members, regardless of their method.
There are pros and cons for every approach.

Maybe I should have named this thread "T scrogs without a net" hehe.
I wanted to try making some butter so I'm ok with the extra larf on the bottom.

I've been noticing some light burn on 1.5 plants. The curtain doesn't reflect nearly as much light as the wall. Also explains why the plant at the end surrounded by 3 walls was always shorter. I think the light was keeping it short.
I'm thinking its a bit too early for the leaves to be turning crispy and will dim down one of the drivers by 50 watts.

I think I've also got a bit of nutrient burn. Waste water was steady between 1500-1600 EC. Watered with 800 EC (300 tap) to correct. I'm going to aim for around 1100 EC for waste water. Not sure.

Not sure why there are spots on some of the tips either. Maybe I'm missing something.

I'm using the same water for my two plants in veg and they look fine. I don't think its any issue with the water/nutrients/PH

Nothing you cant pull out of with a lil fresh water.
I think you mean 800ppm on a 500 scale.
EC=Electrical conductivity which would be like 2.0 for around 1200ppm/500scale approx.

Nope I'm using EC. Currently watering once a day. My ambient temperature with the lights on is 87f and a humidity of 33. I think thats why I'm on the lower side of EC. Then again, I don't really know what I'm doing.

I was mixing up a new rez and realized there was still stuff in the bottom of the container from the last mix. DOH! Hopefully the girls will forgive me. Decided to use my green light and water at lights out.

Transplanted these into 3 gallons last night. Thought they would be droopy after a rough transplant but they are taking off.

Day 51
Still watering my veg and flowering plants at 1100 EC. Ideally I will not have to mix multiple reservoir at some point.
I'm hoping to harvest the Phantom OG in 3 weeks and I'm guessing another 5 weeks for the two cheese strains.
