t 5 grow box needs your input

I want to build a stealth box 2 ft x 2 ft x 4 ft long with T5's ( 4 foot 8 bulb, 40,000 lumens ), use scrog, i like the ease of auto's... how many plants for this area? I have grown easy ryder, syrup, and auto white widow, fairly happy with the outcomes. Does anyone have any other strains that are worthwhile ? good yeild, good smoke? im thinking about the same thing I saw this box on the market at www.private-farm.com not sure if it would work... What do you think?

Over priced for what it is. A 150 wt hps.... not the yield im looking for....You could build something twice as nice for less cash. thats just my 2 cents

Dude, 4 feet wide/long, and 2 feet tall and 2 feet deep? 2 feet vertical space isn't much to work with, especially after you factor in the height of your pots, and the way your light hangs down, you might only have enough room for some short plants...you planning on heavy LST or ScrOG?

scrog was a given sorry i didnt give much input on my plans. 3-4 plants in 3 gallon pots with ffof . I could build the box up to 3 feet........... if that would help

You might be better off flowering from seed for a sog style grow. Space needed per plant would be 6 inches by 6 inches

I think 2 feet is a super tight space for flowering in any sort of style personally. I only propagate and grow up to 2 months old veg in that space and by that time the plants really can no longer fit in that space despite being topped and LST'd. Thats with 3ltr pots sat only on trays and lightwave T5's hung right at the very highest I can get them.

Factor in the stretch of flowering and I think a 2 foot high tent is no way enough headroom. scroggsy.

I think 3 gallon pots are going to be way to tall. One thing you could try is one of those plastic under-bed trays. Those would be about half the height but you could get close to the same volume. You also need to factor in room for a filter though you could probably rig something up at one end and use up horizontal space instead of vertical space.

You lights are 3" tall. Let's say you mount the light right to the roof so you don't lose space to hangers. You still need to leave 3"-4" between the top of the plants and the light. And you use a 6" tray, that only leaves you 12" for your plant. If you can, I would definitely build it at least 3' tall.
