Hey guys new here but really in need for some help!!

I have 2 grape apes going into week 8. My light schedule is 11pm to 11am making it rather hard to work on at night im usually up until 1-2am working on the plants while needing to wake up around 8am. Its become a pain plant #1 is ahead of plant #2. #1 is just now starting to get cloudy tricomes waiting until 30% of them are amber so plant #2 wount be ready for harvest when #1 is. My question is can i keep the lights off for another 12hours when they are about to turn on making it off 24hours so i can have the lights on at 11am to 11pm instead of vice versa i dont wanna herm them. Any help

Just start cutting out an hour of daylight. 11 on 12 off, till you are where you want to be, then go 11on 13 off. Will take awhile to fully transfer but you will start reaping the benefits by an hour after the first cycle

If you want to change it to like 8pm to 8 am, I'd set the light cycle to 11pm to 8am now. Then the next day change it to 8pm to 8am. You could also just change it by an hour a day to be more gentle, but it'll probably be fine without doing that. If you did it an hour a day you could change from that to 8pm to 8pm in a few days.

Some strains are more sensitive than others.

Two plants don't really need that much attention. I have 6 flowering at intervals and i don't spend more than 30 minutes in there a day tops if im trimming something or staking something otherwise ten minutes. plus the veg tent maybe ten minutes..ya there are days where something time consuming needs to be done like cloning or repots. Keeping your environment filtered and clean is really important, you would be surprised how dirty and hairy weed can get under the microscope if you don't keep a sealed filtered clean room. My point is its best to get in and get out with minimal interaction. If you cant do what you need to before the light goes off you would be fine to change the time just make sure the extra hours are dark not light.

Also personally i would chop them at 10 percent amber. By the time it's cured it will be 30 percent. Amber trichs are dead degrading trichs. I understand the merits of having a few, but for me i really don't want 25 to 50 percent of my trichs decayed and they continue to turn while drying. Peak thc is in the cloudy stage. I harvest once i find any amber on bud not on sugar leaf. Ive over ripened before, trust me you don't want to do that.
