Switching light cycle to flower

Hey guys I’m about to switch my girls to flower. My only issue is my dark period now is from 7am to 1pm. Idk why I just did it that way. Now that I’m switching to flower I’m worried about light leaks with my vents at the bottom of my tent open during the day. Would be it be best to just give them 24 hrs of darkness and turn on the light during the day and let the 12 hrs of darkness be at night? What would be best to ease this transition?

I always test a new tent for leaks when I first get it by turning on all the lights in my room and then closing myself up in the tent. I think most tents are fine to run a lights on at night/darkness period during day schedule, and ANY tent can be made totally light proof if you take some care with the intakes/vents. I cover my vents with cut to fit carbon furnace filter taped on, and I also use the 8" bottom ports for additional passive intakes-with those I just run a little ducting and turn them at a 90 degree angle-the ends covered in panty hose. Be sure to always filter your intakes with at least pantyhose. Running your lights at night might be essential to keep your tent cool during the summer, be sure to monitor your temps carefully. Some people also pay less money per kilowatt hour at night, so check on that too. Good luck!
