Switching from led to hps heat is a bit much

No not really. But pretty easy to do the key is have the sucking hose right by the bulb/socket.

Number 4 will help you for now. Just take the hose and attach it with wire or good zip ties right next to the socket at the back of your reflector. I did it in my 4x4 and temps stayed at 79-81 degrees Fahrenheit.

You have a few options. The one I use is intake/exhaust fans running 24/7. I'm constantly bringing in fresh cool air in and removing hot air. The tent always has fresh air and I run unsealed reflector 600w HPS and a 300w led cob. My heat is perfect which is mainly controlled by variable fan speeds. I am running 4" intake/exhaust but will have to increase cfm and fan size in order to add another hps and get rid of the led altogether.

Your other option is get a vented sealed hood for you hps light. Most come in 6" so in order for me to hood my lamps I need to replace two fans and hoses.

Or use a 6in to 4in reducer. Then you can use the 4in fans.

Sorry.....the Solarsystem UVB lamp is hanging in front of a Sun System Blockbuster hood. It just looks that way in the photo.

Can't go wrong with VivoSun. Just picked one up myself. And indeed...they can run a bit hot. I'll run a 6in. 470 cfm duct fan through my hood, pulling from outside the room. Hope you manage to pull through this predicament.

I would put the fan outside of the tent, right on top of the filter. Fans make a little heat too.

My 1000 watt air-cooled HID fixture produces less heat inside the tent than my HLG 260 LED fixtures. At the canopy and above the fixture.

This is a 1000w hps in a 2x4 with a 6" 410cfm fan no carbon filter and canopy temp is 74°F while light is on it just pulls air from the vents in the bottom through the light hood and out
