Don't rush to judgment. U got plenty time before any pollen appears if it is a male. Some calyx can throw u off. But this is your preflowering time just keep an eye out.

When u mess up topping its called fim'ing (fuk it I missed). Topping gets u 2 branches from the one. But fimming can get 4 or more branches. I've broken whole plant in half and just taped her back up and she kept on ticking. Don't be scared to touch her and be a lil rough. It will make your stems stronger.
