SWIM's First Grow

SWIM (someone who isn't me) has their first grow, I am just helping with research. 300w led, inline fan and carbon filter keeps grow box air, negatively pressure. Its a very small grow. Right now at 51 days veg, they stand at 9 inches tall, super thick and bushy. No signs of preflowers yet. Is it too early to switch over to 12/12 light schedule?

You can switch any day you like, you don't need pre flowers. You can go 12/12 from seed if you like. Good luck with your grow sorry, SWIMs

How does it look? There seems to be some yellows in different areas.

Looks like you should turn the light off before taking photos and no, it won't hurt them a bit.

At this stage of growth you'll want to get on top of that discoloration before it takes grip and effects the rest if the plants life.

is that better for pictures? I hope so lol, my camera sucks. Any idea on what causing the yellowing?

Yeah dude I would not worry about SWIM, if you're a peace loving person and does not intend to harm anyone with terrior attacks its all good! We are peacfull people!

Your plants look very healthy, good job! I would flower now and expect them to tripple in size by harvest time with out any kind of topping or tying down. I like to flower before 12" to help control height and keep them under control.

id like to see a general consenus about switching to flowering, should there be an extended dark period given (I.E 16, 24, 36) hours of total darkness before switched to 12/12?

I've done both and really don't notice much of a difference, the big difference I DO notice is three days of dark right before harvest. That is almost a night and day differenct with resin and stickyness production.

update, 58 days in total, 5th day of 12/12. No preflowers that i can see yet or theyre JUST beginning. tallest is 11 and quarter inch tall. what do you guys think?
