Do you have an exhaust fan? You want air movement another reason those plants stretched like they did. I’m guessing you don’t have any fans in the room.
Swelling of the joints? Male maybe?

Ok. Thanks... i will buy a new light setup at the end of the month or biggining of next... but anyways i just drove to work... so I have to go... but will talk more later....

at this point with those plants might as well buy a couple of 15$ shop lights and stand em on end as side lighting....
one 4 foot shop light leaning into a plant longwise aimed at a corner with plant between light and wall can actually grow a decent plant and can put right into and next to plant (used shop lights for heat and side lighting for years...still do)

and read what hooha said, 600 watt, not 1000. get a 6 inch exhaust fan and enough ducting to run it outside, and you'll get 1000 times better results

There are plenty of nice spots port Townsend is one I loved when I was up there. Also the tulip festivals are nice but the Woolley nah. Coupeville is a nice spot too on the south end of Whidbey island.
