SW OG in Super Soil

Here are 8 skyweezy (under 1k metal halide ushio) 2 weeks after being transplanted into 7 gal pots. Surrounding the SW are various1 gal starts for my black box (force flower) they will be moved as soon as I switch the lights to 12/12 As you can probably tell they are being pushed to the limit by the super soil. Some tips are a little burnt. I think sub calls it "hot feet" Nothing to worry about.

Haven't needed to water since initial transplant. I think I might have oversaturated them a bit. Anyone else not need a watering after transplant for 2+ weeks?

Day 16 since transplant to 7 gal. still haven't needed to water. Pots are starting to lighten though. They appear to be really surging in growth now.

Update. all 1 gallon starts have been moved out of room. SW have been staked and pulled apart to open the canopy up. Plan to switch light cycle to 12-12 Tuesday which is will be 1 month since transplant to 7 gal. I took a couple close up pics of a couple leaves that have burnt tips and a slight discoloring from s.s.

updated pics from tonight. neem spray the other day had a bit too much dish soap i think that, and some hot days with the light too close seems to have curled a few leaves and yellowed some marginally. maybe too much hot as the lower leaves are seriously dark. however new growth is lightening considerably. all in all things look pretty good. switched light cycle to 12/12 tuesday morning.

thank you. seems i really did a # on the ladies with my neem spray. in 1 gallon of water i put a whole tablespoon of dawn ultra concentrate with 2 tablespoons of neem and it seems to have locked them up, instead of seeing improvement daily since spraying problem looks a little worse each day. so let this be a lesson to go easy on the soap lol. i dont know if it was the phosphates in the soap, because the plants are clawing like too much nutes, and they have been in s.s for a month with no problem. i have never seen this clawing from neem before. will post a bunch of pics when lights kick on. i made some half strength maxicrop to wash any residual soap off this morning. wish i had reacted more quickly.

That sucks you locked them... I want skywalker in my herbal garden so bad.

update: while the neem may have been a little rough it was not the only cause of what was ailing the ladies, the leaves were clawing and twisting like crazy. and as i went back through the images you could tell the problem was getting progressively worse as the plants were growing into the medium, even though they were growing and getting thicker. The leaves were really way too dark green. so yesterday i took a look at the back up 1 gallons and they were yellowing at the top and clawing similar to the 7 gals because i had top dressed them with s.s.. so i decided i could not take them into flower and culled them. so i ripped them all out, dumped the soil on a tarp and cut it with 4 bags plain roots. and then re transplanted the sw in 1 gal i had on deck. but not before i removed the s.s. amended on the tops and flushed em. lost a good 3 weeks but i think this was better than trying to flower. will post pics of the new starts.

I read about using the dish soap as a wetting agent, but I thought I read the 'Ultra" types or anti-bacteria are not good to use.... maybe it's worth looking up for yourself, it could be Just the choice of soap.... Have you used that same formula with success before...? Either way, I love what you got going on...!ATB!

i have used dishsoap many times but more like a tsp. this time i used a heaping tbsp. but they have been on their way to being locked up for a while. and the spray was last straw. check out the claw progression in the pics. i know the sw can handle the s.s. but the best result i had was in a 20 gal where i cut the soil in half all the way to the bottom of pot. instead of leaving a pure few inches of hot on the bottom. we will see how the cut down hot reacts. but yeah next time 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp of regular dish soap to 2 tbsp of neem is the right ratio. please chime in if u have any input as u see fit.

here are the replacement sw. they have been chillin under fluorescent lights since being taken out of test room. i top fed them with about an inch of hot several weeks ago and they are over-fertilized to be sure. i have top fed established 1 gal jtr before and they took to it just fine. so the sw are definitely a little sensitive to the hot! here are a bunch of pics of some f'd up leaves lol, notice how the lower leaves are not twisted but really dark. they have been flushed and soil cut dramatically with repot. the replacements arent much smaller than the originals. lets see how they do!

Hey, well at least you'll know what to do with this particular strain this go around....lol. I'm about to top my 3D, and after about a week or so, they get transplanted into SS(7G), then on to the boom boom room...lol! All the Best to you brotha!

canopy is fuller since last update. leaves are not perfect but clearly in better shape than first go around. leaves just arent as full as they should be i have ran this strain a few time in s.s but really have only been happy with the results once and it was outdoors. it seems kinda finicky. probably be my last run with the sw. we will see how she flowers in about a week.

update better color overall. about two weeks in, almost through the stretch. those are 4 ft stakes. and canopy is level with them. 6x8 just about filled up!
