Whether we agree with another persons reasoning for wanting to disassociate has no bearing on whether we should persist in forcing an association,

Would you agree to work for someone if one of the terms of separation was something you objected to ?
Would you use a gun to force an employer to associate with somebody against the employer's will? That's what you're asking somebody else to do, use a gun to make the employer obey you. Would you do that on your own ?

People can do anything they want, it doesn't mean that there might not be negative consequences for choosing to act in the way that they did. They agreed to that when they got a business license.

No when they got a business license, at least some, if not most didn't agree to anything.
They got a license and pay extortion because they want to avoid being further accosted. What happens if you try to do business without paying the demands of those who insist you pay them for a license?
