Anybody got a stealth CFL going with supplemental L.E.D.

I've been thinking about adding a small panel of L.E.D. to my growop.

Is it worth it?

search youtube... the side by side grow I saw there showed really small yields with LED. As expensive as LED systems are, I'd just go wtih more CFL's or a small HPS. Well...I actually did do that. HPS FTW!

Dude I've got 300W effective 2700K and 2x150W effective 5500K. Thats 600 W effective CFL vs. how many watts on a HPS? And it's about 2 inches from the plant and I don't have any trouble with the heat.

Y'all think I should add more light? I was thinking about dropping about 3x100W down along the sides of the plant as she gets taller?

nobody can answer that without knowing how much area you're talking about. 300w effective is like 80w real. I started with just a couple and every light I add makes the situation better. So far the best investment I've made has been in HPS.

Watts and lumens are not usually comparable anyway. I have 4sqft in play and a bit over 50K lumens. I'm about to add a 400W HPS for another 50K lumens. As long as you manage the heat I don't know that there's such a thing as too much light (after some research, yes there is but it's really really really hard to get there from here).

I've got approximately 1 sqft of grow space. My CFL wattage is 1x68W(300effective) and 2x19W(150effective). I suppose that's 106 real Watts. Pretty hard to give your plant too much light.

Some time after the move I'm going to get a PC set up with a 100W CMH bulb and lots of ventilation.
