There was a sale on HLG QB120 v2 boards before Christmas that I found hard to say no to because I have been unsatisfied with the 400W HID that I'm using not covering more then maybe a 2'x2' footprint (mine is 2'x4').
So I decided to make my own fixture with some 3/4" angle aluminum and with much help from @ilovereggae with the electrical stuff (would never have figured it out myself, I owe him A LOT for all his help and materials).
I welcome any advice for improvements or comment in general. The temps seem to be stable @ 83F, these boards don't really put off much heat at all (compared to a 400W HPS HID lamp). For eg. it's a mess up top as you can see, not sure how else to hide all the wires and wagos, *shrug*.
A list of parts for this project:
2 x 8' lengths of 3/4" Aluminum Angle
8 x 3/16" Bolts w/ nuts
8 x 3/16" Eye-Bolts w/ nuts
2 x 70W HLG QB 120v2 LED boards wired in parallel with
1 x Delta LNE-24120WDA Driver
1 x Waterproof Junction box (for AC side of driver to power cord)
1 x Cased Potentiometer
2 x 2-Way Wago Connectors (for pot)
2 x 3-Way Wago Connectors (for DC side of driver to panels)
1 x Power Cord
1 x 400W HID in an air-cooled reflector
