supplemental lighting

I got 3 plants under a 400hps would it be ok to throw in a 4ft 40w cool white tube to supplement the popcorn nugs at the bottom? Just wondering if the light color might throw the plants off?

It will be alright, might even be better than having it warm since a lot of cheaper hps bulbs still lack in the blue area.

Miked spectrum is great. What K are adding to your HPS ?

Supplemental lighting would be good for popcorn nugs of course. If you can try adding cfls being you can place where you want too. But the flouro tubes would be fine as well.

Not sure what k just know its soft white. And sounds good I'll throw em all in there...about 6 weeks into flower

Don't bother. Just spend the money and get a 1000 watt. You would need a t5 setup a few hundred watts to see a difference

I wouldn't say that's true at all. You can notice a difference with a 125 watt cfl which is like 30 bucks. Any added light would be good but yes if you can afford the 1k and manage heat ect then go for it.

I wasn't asking if I should buy a 1k u rude fuck.

CFLs would be preferred as others said especially on a cost per lumen basis but any extra lighting is always good. More light = more buds (within reason)
