From my research, some say yes and some say no! Very confusing! What do the professionals think??

I screwed up my nutes in the beginning so I think I'm recovering from nute lock!... Or at least trying!

For the many yrs I've been growing I've never used any form of additives, just basic nutes, grow and bloom, I personally feel adding those extras tend to cause more problems than not, I will admit that this grow I'm trying Floralicious plus sort of like an experiment, maybe worth while but not sure, that's just my opinion, I've never used them, my feeling is it's just a way for companies to make money, some of those additives are expensive, I'm sure many will say I'm wrong, so be it.
btw I too am hydro.

I couldn't agree more. I feel keeping it simple is the best way. But my plants are struggling coming out of this possible lockout so I'm stretching for ideas! They're not HORRIBLE looking yet but its steady getting worse. Also with my crazy pH fluctuations, its not looking good.

Then I would have to ask, how did you screw up your nutes in the beginning causing what you believe to be nute lock out? ph or too strong a solution? in that case I would assume once readjustment of your ph and or nute strength your plants would gradually recover very shortly, especially in hydro, perhaps maybe just a one shot flush just to clean out your medium.

here's a nice story. I run a ebb and flow table and one day my pump died. my two giant scrogged plants easily were drinking half a gallon each a day and they were dry for 12 hours. parts of them wilted and it looked like they weren't going to make it. i use pea gravel too so there's no absorption properties in the media. i used a full dose of superthrive in the res and my plants bounced back in 3 days and looked amazing at the end of the week. i don't know if it was the superthrive but that's just something to think about.

I've used it with sick plants and it seems to help. But I don't know if it will mess with your already unstable ph. Worth a try...say I
