Super Strength Bird Guano... Too Strong?

Hey all,

A quick question concerning a bird guano that I purchased over the weekend. The npk levels in it are 8-26-1.5. I've read in many threads here that this is WAY too high, that P should only be as high as 10 - 12. Can't I just make my AACT with 1/3 or 1/2 the amount of guano so that it makes the P level in the compost tea more dilute, closer to the 10-12 range?

It was 96% off at the store, less than a dollar for a big bag of it at regular price of 22, so I HAD to pick it up.

Just use less, no worries.

Anyone else care to differ? It makes sense that only using 1/2 to dilute the concentration of nutrients by 2x. I was confused because I read from numerous threads to avoid anything higher than a P of 10-12.

anyone know how much to mix with soil and perlite? i was thinking 10%

If you're really concerned, you could always use it as an ingredient in a compost tea. You will find many recipes in this subforum for how to create compost teas.
