Super Soil ratio for Indica Dominant strains

Hey guys first time super soil user here, long time hydro grower. Anyways not too many problems in my garden I am growing OG Raskal White Fire , Tahoe OG , Master Kush and Qush from TGA. I'm having burn issues with my Master Kush and the Qush isnt burned too bad but the Master Kush just seems to not like the super soil. I used 50% Super Soil and 50% base in 7 gallon smart pots. I'm pretty sure its burn but do any super soil veterans know if this is actually my problem or anything I can do? I also water with R/O water in a sealed room with co2. I cooked my soil for about 6 weeks. Here's a list of what I added.

2.5lbs Blood Meal 13.6-0-0

2.5 lbs Steamed Bone Meal 1-25-0

2.5lbs Bat Guano 0-12-1

2.0 lbs Pot Ash 0-0-50

0.5lbs Azomite (70+ Trace Elements)

1/2 Cup Powdered Humic Acid

1 Cup Epsom Salt- Magnesium Sulphate

1 Cup Dolomite-49% Calcium Carbonate 36% Magnesium Carbonate

1 Cup Mycorrhizal Fungi

25 lbs of EWC

Right on almost 90 views

i think sub says 40% on indicas

you could flush them well to bring down the nutrients.

best way it put them in a bathtub with a hand held shower head. run room temp water through, let drain and repeat. you should see some brownish water coming out. you can test the run off and see what it is at. test in begining and test at end to see if you dropped the ppms.

Im a noob , but someone told me to water the soil for a month befor using ,
It tends to be a hot batch !!

I tested the run off last night and it came in at 5.4 PH.. I just started brewing some tea so I hope that helps.. Just want to know because in a few weeks I will be transplanting some pre-98 and white bubba just dont want to burn those because they are for a patient of mine.

Dont worry about the PH, especially if you are going to give a nice compost tea before you transplant, compost tea is neutral at 5.5 but the ph will adjust itself, you are not doing hydro anymore, you dont need this ph meter anymore!!

Thanks Enduro!!!! So you think my the PH of my runoff is fine at 5.4 ? I just watered my already flowering plants last night thats the run off I tested. My R/O System in my grow room has the PH at like 6.3 so I just been straight watering with that no adjusting PH. I think the Phosphorus is too high in my super soil mix, I used a tweaked version and the Bat guano we used was 0-12-1 the next batch I will make will be 0-5-0.. Oh and I didnt even use my meter until last night! Thanks for the help guys. Has anyone ever grown any Pre-98 or Bubba in super soil? Any tips?

well wait for someone else's opinion, but I have been growing for a year now and also through the summer indoor with my LEDs, and I don't own a PH meter, never looked at the PH since using SS. The only thing I used was a few years back I had PH strips when I first attempted growing marijan, but I was using commercial bottled nutrients and I was simply doing what the guy at the hydro store had said to do...

Yeah I have grown hydro for about 5 years so a PH meter is needed. So far I have no complaints about super soil except it burns Indica dominant strains.

I just grew out a few qushs from TGA one didnt mind the supersoil it was the bigger of the two with both parental qualities a great exxample of a hybrid this one didnt mind the supersoil the other qush plant that i have thats smaller and tighter in stature but with sativa leaves seemed to hate the supersoil and was burned really bad from it. This leads me to believe this specific plant doesnt like all that much supersoil i used a 3rd so about 33% supersoil. I will not us any supersoil next time and top dress her at 4 and a little bit at 6 and it should be perfect. All the other plants didnt mind it but i also think that i could have let my pot get a little bit too dry which could have been the problem thats a no no with the supersoil cause anything in a dry pot like that is super hot.

I think you are on to something. I immediately thought the same thing. I have been doing the " pot lift technique " to check for watering, or I finger bang the dirt to feel for wetness. How often does everyone water? My temps in my sealed room are 84 degrees lights on and 73 when it goes dark. Using co2

test ppm runoff not pH

you should let your plants go through a wet dry cycle...like you do in hydro. except in hydro you water in much shorter intervals
soil, you want the soil try dry out, but not all the way, then water. this can take between 1-4 days depending on soil base type (coco or peat), size of pots, size of plant, weeks in, room temps/humidity

dont over water soil, you will depive the roots of air.

i like coco base, but have to water every day, or hook up an auto watering.
peat is more like every 3-4 days. which gives you nice a nice long weekend away if you need it.

using your finger isnt usefull since the top drys out before the bottom.
pot lift is best
