Super soil mixture help.

So I mostly grow hydro, but due to me just recently moving and not having the funds or the time to have my indoor hydro setup going in time. (will soon in June) but for now wanted to take advantage of my property line and the season. Figured I'd grow most of my plant limits outdoor this year. However, Most of the time I just used Foxfarm soil, and then when needed, fed via watering with Fox farms Nute line, with a few extra Nutes for flowering. So with that said, (regardless of the liquid Nutes) What would anyone suggest for a good mixture of noob soil? Like What else and at what measurements could I mix into my Foxfarm soil to make it more of a super soil for my plants? I feel this would give them way more growth and potency rather than just using regular FF soil and then watering via Nutes. I plan On using 10-20 gal grow bags for each plant. So as you can imagine, mixing water with Nutes would get tiresome, I'd rather use more of a super soil and just water with regular P.h. un-Nuted water. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Im confused by this? I am in no way saying I can give TMB any pointers... As I feel your being sarcastic... (forgive me if I misinterpreted) Regardless, I am simply asking for a mixture that includes foxfarm... Was asking preferably people who have created or know of a mixture that they currently or in the past have used.. I'm sure the soil mixture TMB proposed is a great mix, but it's not what I'm able to do this time around... SO, with that said, if anyone knows of a good FF mixture let me know otherwise I guess I'll research and experiment to see what mixtures will go well with FF as the base. Thanks all!

I use half 40% FFOF, 40% Black Gold Coco mix, 20% Worm Gold Plus. I have a 55 gal trashcan that i brew a simple compost tea and add only that for nutes. inline RV water filter and 2 air stones at bottom of can. Top dress with additional nutes if your strain seems to need it. Worked great as long as you have long enough flower time. Good luck brah!!

We're all looking for tips, I'm looking for somebody to post on the use of powdered humic acid in a soil mix. Do that and get back to me.

I feel that generally all the high end soils are essentially the same the only real difference seems to be the texture of the soil. I've used them all assumed one point or another depending on what my hydro store had in stock and haven't noticed any real difference as I mix the same stuff in. To me the real top is to put a "cooler" soil layer to transplant directly into and let the plant work it's way into the true mix as it grows.

Im curious though, Is this what I would completely fill my pots with? Or is this the "super soil" that I would put about 30-40% of the way from the bottom, then the rest, regular soil mix? So that when the plants get big or hit their flowering phase, the roots will then just be hitting the super soil to boost it? Or is this more of a put it all in the pot and let the roots soak it up? Thanks guys.

You could also through some amendments like blood meal (Nitrogen) on a top dress then water it. The kind I get at my local hardware is water soluble so it'll just go down to the roots with your water. Same for other stuff bone meal etc..

Here's the mix I am using,

6 cu. ft. potting soil(sand,perlite,compost, forest products)
-6 cu. ft. mushroom compost(composted poultry and horse manure, hay, cottonseed hulls, and sphagnum peat)
-20 lbs worm castings(1-0-0)
-4 lbs bone meal(4-12-0)
-2.5 lbs blood meal(12-0-0)
-2.2 pounds Peruvian seabird guano(12-11-2)
-6 cups of kelp meal(1-0-2)
-1/3+1/4 cup Epsom salts
-Slightly over 1/3 cup of azomite
-24 quarts of perlite(half small pieces half large pieces)
-8 quarts of vermiculite
-6 packs of mykos inoculant
-5 bricks of rinsed Coco coir
-8 tsp of Humate(humic acid)
-1/3+1/4 cup of dolomite lime

I would think you could use the FF in place I the potting soil and compost. And add less amendments if nesscesary. I used about 40 percent super soil on the bottom, a 20% layer off black gold coco mix with added perlite mix it in a bit with the super soil, then 20 more percent black gold and another layer of super soil on top. Good luck!!

Anytime brother I'll have to have you give me some hydro pointers, been wanting to get into that recently.

When I plant in containers I use Kellogg's Patio Plus, available at Lowe's and Home Depot. That is fine for a "base". I add a little (10%) of perlite (or preferably, vermiculite), then worm castings. I'll add some growth fertilizer, such as Dr. Earth or Espoma. I've done the "super soil" and have found it to be of no benefit. I grow in the ground, for the most part, but I've done the time and I think more now towards the KISS method. Of course, it depends on your native soil. I just won't spend my time anymore with specific formulations found on the internet. Be the observer and watch your plants grow. Keep It Simple.

I kinda figured that's what you meant, no worries. Yeah when I first saw a super soil recipe I was like fuck man that's hundreds of dollars.. So I just improvised I really get all my amendments from lowes, greenhouses and farmer stores it helps out quite a bit, most of the time hydro stores are just fucking you over royally anyway. Same with my "base soil" of potting soil and mushroom compost... All of it costed me 40$ compared to 8-10 bags of black gold or ffof with is literally 25$ a bag at my hydro store total fucking rip.

COIR, 5/16’ Lava Chips, Mycorrhizal Fungi, Beneficial Bacteria, Fish Bone Meal, Fish Meal, Crab Meal, Shrimp Meal, Kelp Meal, Alfalfa Meal, Langbeinite, Azomite, and Humic Acids.
